If you use the left lane to go +25 over the posted speed limit, I hate you. The lane isn't for cruising or speeding. It's for passing. That's it. It's not "the fast lane". The speed limit is the same in all lanes of US highways with a technical exception for the far right which is typically designated for slower traffic i.e. trucks with trailers and other large vehicles.
