As the title says, anyone else having a lack of motivation to log in?
I have not logged in a single time the last 2 weeks almost 3 now. This current “seasonal” i dont mind to much except the tonic aspect which for some reason goes over my head 🙄. I find that i want to play but not interested in a lot of group activities.

Bungie killed their own game. They took the fun out of everything because some -blam!- streamers thought it was too easy.
-
Agreed, as some comments below mention Streamers ruined it, demanding for harder and slog content. The game is no longer FUN, strikes are slogs and not fun, seasonal activities same, the new dungeon boss takes ages to get to damage phase and then you have too much happening ( clones, lava floor, lightning, his sniper rifle, the two wipe mechanics and bomb deposit) then do all the rooms again (that takes 8 or more minutes) to get back to damage phase. Game is a slog now and too much RNG, the streamers hated Red Borders and crafting so F the rest of us Time to watch Netflix or play other games (IMO that's way more enjoyable with my limited freetime) I'm not "grinding" Working destiny as my 2nd job

Play other games. D2 is not only game in the gaming world. At some point, you will find everything is just more the same. Until Frontier, come back and see if anything new. Currently, playing Remnant 2, 650hrs and still clocking....
-
Games shot dude just move on and play something else. I Bungie ever get their head out of their -blam!- come back. If not I’m sure you will find something
-
The more bungie kills the game, the less I feel compel to play it.
-
When there are so many games being at least less riddled with bugs, destiny isn't that appealing to play in the first place along with another problems that would make me write a wall of text
-
Best just to vote with time and money. Until they change course- don't give them either.
As the title says, anyone else having a lack of motivation to log in?
Not really, no.
-
The season stasis stuff is soo boring I can’t bring myself to play. It’s like bungie forgot that people play games for fun
-
Let's see: -Pointless system to get loot by previously getting other loot? Check - Seasonal activity that's just reskinned Into the Light? Check -Dungeon that has mechanics basically copied from the raid I've done A LOT of times? Check -Mediocre loot? Check Yeah, logged like few times this season to basically just close the game and play something else. Game feels unrewarding as hell. Artifact perks don't seem that much fun to actually care. From what I've seen in patch notes there are several nerfs noone asked for. I'll probably hop in few times during last weeks of season to get my money's worth (which is not much, apparently), will do the same next season and that's the end of the road. I really, REALLY wish Destiny 2 was a good game, because it has absolutely awesome setting and gunplay feels good most of the time, even if my aim is not what it used to be. But it's not rewarding anymore, maybe never was, but at least I sometimes felt that the stuff in the game came from some devs' hearts instead of getting product from corporation.

Play other games Give destiny a rest, when you get bored of the other games come back to destiny and see how you are
-
D1 I'm rather enjoying. I've vaulted D2 though.
-
Yup. 10 years in. Game is constantly interrupting my pew pew time to fly all over, engage in ridiculous time wasters that do very little to improve the game etc. that and with content getting harder, fewer players playing, end game is even harder to get players playing.
-
Ok so walk away , there is plenty of games out there and it’s just a video game . We all knew d2 would go this way and there’s nothing much happening now ….d2 will fade out eventually which is fine .
-
In the past few weeks all I did in D2 was a handful of haunted sectors for some eerie engrams plus pick up candy in the tower to unlock the exotic class item. Only logged in this week to pick up a couple of the free ‘god roll’ weapons from Banshee then logged off. My playtime’s just dwindled away.

They nerf this and they nerf that. I have 4 Eerie engrams left over and they expect me just to delete them, after I took the time to get them?? Yeah, I'll be looking for something else to put my time into. D2 devs have really done it... Deleting is an option at this point too. And why is everything so red in the game? It's beginning to just blend in like a color salad... Waste of time and money...

I chose to do my Pre-Calculus homework over playing Destiny this week. 🫠
-
Thanks to everyone who commented and/or liked the question I had asked.
-
No issues at all. I hardly play because it is mostly trash at this point but I don’t see that as an issue. The developers have moved on from this game and I am sure they expect much less interaction with it.
-
Yes but I dont have to play this game every day. The dungeon was good but this season is kind of weak so I’m catching up on other games. I was playing Top Gear Pocket 2 last night on game boy 🤷♂️

No I still live by the motto destiny is life
-
Yes. The lack of decent loot is my issue. Destiny is a carrot on the stick game, this season they designed a beautiful stick, with a turd dangling from it. Thank you so much for these utter garbage seasonal scorn guns. Turd after turd after turd.
-
The moment bungie respects players' time and removes the gates, players develop attachment issues. Didn't see that one in the books.
-
Slight motivation issues here. I still play but am finding two main things happening. 1. Taking more time to play other games. 2. Spending more time just trying out new and maybe unique builds just for fun.
