There's definitely something going on in trials cuz it's ridiculous to be solo and get put against 3 stacked sweat teams all weekend long and never go to the lighthouse. That's just plain -blam!-. There's no way that I'm always getting put on the shitty teams so in return I do shitty but if I get 2 other good players n myself I have no problem killing anyone. But if I'm on the shitty team which is always 96.9% of the time then I do shitty.

Edited by Franco-Nevada: 11/19/2024 2:01:10 PMIMO what you are describing is exactly what I call "lag" which is due to poor matchmaking. This is something that most players have to deal with--some more, some less. The same guy who is in god mode in a match with you (which means he appears "good" to you) may get curb-stomped in his next match, because it's hard to find 6 players at any given moment with roughly the same latency (so that everyone experiences the same conditions). Something I see all the time in online multiplayer games: An opponent completely dominates in a match where it seems like he takes very little damage, is able to move/react faster than me, as if I'm wearing concrete shoes and always a step too late. But a match or two later we get someone on our team with a network connection that swings the imbalance in our favor. Now everything I do against the guy works and he is the one who can't damage me, etc. I had a comp match yesterday where I went 11-1 and had a 10x streak. I did not suddenly "get good." The match conditions changed and I had the advantage. That is the uneven nature of the internet and online gaming. My advice is leave Trials and do something else for awhile, then come back. Had to do that 3 times this week to finally go to the Lighthouse. In general the matchmaking lately seems to be getting better.
