At this point there is no reason to play pvp. The fact that we are at this stage on the crucible where the flow of the game has stopped with the sitting in the back Meta and the bad sandbox/maps. For a game that wants to keep player count steady it simply fails. I love this game and I wish it was better but we know at this point there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Is been down hill since the 2.0 subclass changes, no identity. I take breaks from this game but i get punish from it. This game punishes players for taking a break and it doesn't reward players for staying on it either.
Back to the crucible and the terrible experience that has become. Smoke and ice spears. Clones and pulses. Heavy pulses should get their intrinsic perk removed. Clearly the previous nerfs have not hit the mark.
in comp heavy needs to be removed completely. Comp should be barebones and all about positioning, cool-down management and gun skill. Heavy is cheesy and destroys all of those aspects. Since comp relaunch we have been asking for heavy to not be part of comp. The point system in comp sucks and needs to be looked at.
Even if they commit and start changing things now in pvp, its already to late.

The system was absolutely perfect. Opening weekend of Trials with cross play. Burnout with Messanger, card based matchmaking, no flawless pool, no solo duo trio queue, getting close to a million players in a weekend. Brilliant. And then Bungie -blam!- around. Then -blam!- around some more. Carried on and on and on. Until finally we have barely 70K players a weekend. I cannot stress enough how badly Bungie performed here. From a simple metric of player numbers. It is a disaster. And as usual when you try to please the casual player your game becomes less attractive to the engaged players. And the engaged players leave. Genuine game killer. This game is nothing without PvP. And sadly PvP has been mis managed into nearly a million people a weekend wanting to play Trials of Osiris to barely 70 thousand. Hate to see it.
