Trading keeps the soul of rng pure while breaching the gap between veteran grinders and noobs. This idea would stimulate the population guaranteed 5x on what we have fallen to today. If any proof is needed look at the WoW community.
-
The forums would be filled with people complaining about paid weapon offers and getting scammed, so no.
-
Gross. As if there aren't enough lazy losers making money selling recovs.
-
If any proof is needed look at the WoW community.
Isn't it customary to try and support your idea through proof rather than shooting it down in flames yourself? It's a novel approach, I'll give you that....
-
Obviously would need conditions, like you have to have that weapon yourself that you're getting and it has to be base level 1 if it's crafted or something. THat way it can't be just "I traded for an entire raid set abusing it with a friend that can craft all of it" but still be a viable thin if you want a specific roll that someone else has that you'd prefer and vice-versa.
-
Sure. If you have the weapon in the collection, and it cannot be a pattern weapon.

Edited by CORPERATE COMMANDER: 11/19/2024 12:16:47 PMAs long as it has conditions like player trading has to be with a player that has been in your freind list for over 6mnths to minimise hacks/illegal cheat accounts getting trials weapons /raid weapons to sell privately to players It's countless the amount of times me an my freinds will get a roll that won't be used by one but would be used by the other freind so yes trading in d2 would go a long way aslong as it has conditions
-
I’d like to see an AH but it’s bound to fail like WoW too. Unless they have set prices for items

LOLNO

Wouldn't work its deep seeded issues that are why destiny has a population issue. Yearly vaulting of content. Old activities being made redundant . Over saturated loot pool . Most weapons just reskins with nothing that makes them stand out. No good free to play or new player stuff. Old engine with Spagetti code and loads of bugs. Game has unbalanced pvp. No meaningful progression system. Outdated power system.

Edited by Hippo: 11/19/2024 2:20:29 PMFunny that you mention WoW as an example, considering Blizzard helped mentor Bungie in the early days of destiny 1 and they told Bungie player trading was one of the worst decisions they ever made and suggested not adding it to the game, at the time Bungie had added the option to menus as a filler, which you can see in the early alpha videos but it never actually went anywhere. These days though it'll never happen for the simple fact it would be lost income, all those private trades for real money that will happen from day 1, they already ban for recovs because its money they dont get a part of you really think they will add trading.
-
Not no, but HELL no.
-
If you look at your proof, you will also see people charging real money for items.

This would not increase player population, and if it did it would be marginally better, which would not be worth the negative trade-off it would also receive. A trading system would not work in D2 like it does in other games, and if one tried to overlap D2 with a trading system, it would stem far greater issues than benefits. And this is coming from someone who's thought extremely long and hard on a viable trading system for D2. -
Video game companies are a dying breed. Even better increased the player population by actually making long-term content not short term seasonal boredom content, so then that way more players have a reason to reach the pinnacle cap other than something being required to do master or GM content! Example think about the players who decided to do act one content in one setting took them less than 30 minutes... Bungee been doing for years giving players content that takes you less than 30 minutes to complete all together, but they spread it across 3 months to ship pieceby piece just to keep players numbers up but not doing too much work to keep player numbers up! It's one of the reasons that these popular feedback of the community is that they want we want DLC content that we had in destiny 1 stuff similar to house of wolves. We once story content we want reasons to log in to chase new rewards and not recycled reused BS with uniqueness to the rewards. Yes the community wanted replayability but not replayability in the most laziest way possible ..lol. Everything I say here is the reason why I don't play as much as I did when I play the destiny one. I don't really play games that much anymore because of companies like this what they do they just scam their player base they charge heafty price tag for short content that is not even worth $10... ex triple-a games always fail because these companies put a 60 to $70 price tag on a game when the game is not even worth 10 Bucks. Think about cyberpunk 2077 when the first came out the way it was so underdeveloped so much bugs and in some cases unplayable to some players it should have never been $60 it should have been 40 or $30.. Sooner us the player realize that these companies are just scaming us and they need to be accountable for what they're doing to us nothing's gonna change video games are not gonna get better they're gonna get worse and worse. Plus it doesn't help either that a lot of these companies don't even give a crap about the toxic aspect of the communities for these video games. After all that is why people did not like dual destiny it wasn't because of the content it was because of the messed up community we have that we don't want to help other players we want to -blam!- on other players we want to make fun of other players but we don't actually want to socialize make friends and help our fellow teammates. I mean after all it is a duo mission the concept of that is that you work with your partner to get it done If they refuse to work with the other player you might as well just delete the game because nothing's going to happen nothing's going to be done. I know my comment will be removed because a lot of these ninjas on these forums do not want to acknowledge the stuff I'm saying because it undermines bungee their decisions their logic in terms of a company. Honestly that -blam!- needs to change stop listening to people who don't give a crap about the game or bungee and start listening to the community as a whole. Clearly something needs to change if the release of final shape player numbers were 27 million now its done to 400k since 6 months after release. This happened not just because of bungee decisions it happened because of the toxic community it happened that players want to play a fun version of Destiny not a version that Feels like challenge mode on every single aspect of Content. Bungie is just one of those companies where 1 streamer tells them to make the game harder they make it 30% harder just to please them. The same thing happened to first descents some body Builders streamer told them oh yeah make the game harder and they made hard Mode bosses so much harder that only 5% of the community can actually do them... Basically to a point where you have to use glitches just to complete a hard mode boss or hire someone to hack the server to manipulate the game...

Edited by Eazy-E: 11/19/2024 12:11:42 AMI'd definitely give away 5 golf balls for the exotic void sidearm, from the dungeon. Endless opportunities, auctions for God rolls, no regulations on prices, turn the tower into wall street
-
that would mean a bigger vault for us vets, I've deleted soooo many good rolls creating space
-
in the original script and program for destiny 1 there was going to be trading but it was scrapped, with the rest of the original game, in favor of what destiny 1 was bungie has also said there will NEVER be trading, because then the game becomes trade to win and defeats the entire purpose of what destiny is
-
Edited by Ferus Lux: 11/19/2024 9:36:58 AMPlayers would just buy Raid Exotics, adept weapons, and momentos for real money and the game becomes another shtty auction house sim for virtual items, worse than the paid carry crap.
-
The day trading gets added is the day the game officially dies.
-
I could definitely make some money selling some of the weapons in my vault.
-
Everworse would disagree.

Guaranteed 5x - source: trust mez bro.
-
No it wouldn’t
-
Tell me you don’t understand how loot systems function without telling me.

I was asking for this years ago, but got a lot of pushback. I like the idea. Mostly because, when I play with people that don't play as much, and I have multiples or good rolls that I don't use much, I always wish that I could give them to a friend or fireteam member. It's always frustrating when someone says, "Oh man, I really need or want x." And I have it just sitting in my vault. Like, "Sorry man, I would give it to you if I could."
