Anyone else think this modifier is really annoying? I'm not a fan of how it forces me to bring in weapons that don't synergize with my build that I usually try to match with the current surges. It reduces the options I have for weapons which is one of the main reasons everyone hated match-game.
It seems like power weapons give the most progress to the hunger meter, but I'm not going to waste heavy just to fill the meter. Maybe a machine gun would be more efficient, but it's not always a good option. Y'all got any good setups or would you rather remove the hunger modifier?

You can build into it for supers galore.
-
I love it. Been running a machine gun in this case Arc with it. Once the bar is full you get 2 full free ability regens and a super. Very strong on ability builds.
-
Arc matches a lot of shields in this GM so if you're not running something with arc, then you're throwing. The hunger just gives you more abilities and that is never bad. People find a lot of crap to moan about these days. Bungie basically made GMs pointless by how easy they are.

Rime Stasis Warlock and 2 crayon eaters make this gm easy

Edited by Bored (Timelost): 11/18/2024 9:13:22 PMI ran the arc primary damage tonic, used jolting feedback weapon and had the fragment that gives you ionic traces and put on an arc surge. Seemed to do work as I was running double primary. Helped blind the small adds at the start and in console room. I don’t mind the modifier as I had prismatic up nearly consistently and supers very fast as well.

If your hungry just go eat a sandwich
-
Match type with extra steps

I completed a few gm's over the last day or so and had no clue what people were talking about when they asked me to run an arc weapon lol l still didn't run one and we didn't have many issues.. Other modifiers like Brawn and the fake ammo/exotic brick one need to stay away

It’s very annoying. Modifiers forcing different play styles is ok. But combining that with champion mod requirements? It severely hampers your options. And before anyone flips out, I can do them I promise. Several clears this week and last week. Plus a 13x or whatever is the max conquer title is on my Titan. I can handle the difficultly. It’s just not nearly as fun.
-
I think it’s neat, I do like the increased ability regen, but i think it needs some minor adjusting. Personally I think it takes a little too much ammo to “satisfy” the hunger for something that isn’t matching the surge. It’s almost better to build completely into the worm element than the active surges. But I think they could either increase the rate you move the bar by a little bit, or leave it as is and match it with one of the surges

Drifter's hungry.
-
I really enjoy it, especially last week when it was the void hunger on Proving Grounds, I was getting my super back so fast with Graviton Lance! It was awesome! 😎
-
Build into it with any arc weapon like the seasonal gl for infinite supers, it definetly feels more like a positive modifier than negative.
-
Absolutely not the amount of ability spam that Hunger gives is great. I ran choir on void and was having a blast and this week with a jolting feedback pulse it's even better. Also you can ignore it all together and easily clear GMs
-
Yeah I'm not a fan of stuff like that either
-
Completely ignored the modifier and was making like 15 minute runs. I really wasn’t bothered by it.
-
At first I didn’t like it but once you build into it it’s really nice. You get your abilities back pretty fast. Been having a lot of fun with Raiju’s harness or gifted conviction with the seasonal pulse and anarchy.
-
Its good

I'll love the hunger Modifier it puts a nice spin on the Grand Masters, and it makes it so they're free. People who disagree about these types of changes are people that can't get out of their own little niche build bubbles and try something new.
-
How about removing despawning champions. Dumb system that relies on LFGers having a brain.
-
I actually enjoy the hunger modifier. I personally hope we get more modifiers like that because it offers a nice benefit and a debuff you just have to build into it and work for the buff a bit. I am a little tired of gms with mods that aren’t beneficial outside of surges, so I hope we get more modifiers that give a debuff and a buff you can work for. I had a healing turret build and I was just throwing those suckers every two seconds. All I needed was vantage point with jolting feedback to proc it and stun unstop champs. Had some guys in lfg running consecration slam titan with arc weapons and it was impossible for them to die thanks to having permanent uptime on their melee lol.
-
I love the hunger dude it helps give your abilities back faster
-
Hunger makes GMs easier.
-
Nope. It’s lovely. Anarchy has been a blast!

Vyper
Check seasonal for my trials KD - old
I would just rotate builds, and for some builds like HOIL + Cyterachne on hunter the weapons are interchangable Dont remove it, its fun and it actually provides the push some builds need to go from decent to S tier -
use the arc pulse with jolting feedback and the two arc blinding artifact perks in bottom row.. it makes for super easy ad clear when paired with your infinite abilities and enemies that literally can’t shoot back😂 got runs from 13-16 mins using that setup. give it a try
