We need a Join Now link on our profiles that will put the user that clicked on it in game with us. This link will work on both consoles and computer.
Will only work if,
A: The player has it set to appear on their profile.
B: The player's Fireteam privacy is set to public. If friends then only their friends will see the Join Now link. If Clan and Friends then both will see it.
C: They are logged in on the app or website.
If the Fireteam they are trying to join is full they will get a message saying that the Fireteam they are trying to join is full.
If the Fireteam privacy settings is set to where the person clicking on the link does not meet the requirements to join. Then they will see a message telling them they are unable to join this Fireteam due to the privacy settings.
Why do we need this?
Because sometimes when you are in the middle of a game and need someone to join you it's easier to just have them join your already on going game rather than return to orbit which will require everyone to start over again.
Now I know they can always type in your name in the search for Bungie Name Field which can be found in game 3rd one down in the friends tab. The problem here is in my experience people either don't know how to do that and if they do somehow manage to find it they only type in your Name and not the Numbers after the # in your name and are therefore unable to find you.
This will therefore make it a lot easier for players to join you especially when going back to orbit would just hinder things.
The Join Now link will also appear in the Legacy Fireteam Finder when you create a fireteam using the app or website.
Your role as a moderator enables you immediately ban this user from messaging (bypassing the report queue) if you select a punishment.
