Making a fireteam prevents this. Do that. Nobody is going to punish them for it.

18 RepliesWhat do you want bungie to do? They aren't going to go and police others just because you made a choice to join someone, and they kicked you. You're fully capable of making your own team with you being the leader instead. Pick better people to join.

That sucks, but it was a lost sector... it will take like 5 mins to just run it solo.

Report them, be thankful it wasn't a master LS or, worse, a dungeon/gm/raid boss encounter, move on. You get to be a lucky one to learn this lesson with such a low level endgame activity.

And just sit there with no mic and expect a free carry? Or if the requirements ask you to do simple things like don't be AFK, or do go off doing your own thing. And you do anyway after you joined? BOOT. I've had guys join my checkpoint and literally try to start the encounter as soon as they join, just to get the checkpoint and leave immediately. These are real instances btw. With me being the HOST! Hopefully you weren't these types of individuals. (Not saying you were)! Moral of this long -blam!- story is.....make your own post.

I haven't had that occur but strange that Bungie doesn't provide a simple logic loop as in you've been in the game for so long it disables fireteam leader privileges.. (but of course a loophole for abusive language/behavior exists.. but option to mute on screen could be enabled).. ways around it.. yeah people can be wonky
