With Act 1 of Revenant, we know that the Echo in Fikrul's possession is capable of turning the Ether within regular Eliksni into Dark Ether, creating a new species of Scorn from the living instead of just the dead. However, we don't exactly know what effect the Echo has had on older Scorn, yet. Fikrul has always been unique among the Scorn because he was the first, created through a Wish granted by a Taken Ahamkara. While he can die as many times as he has and still retains his mental faculties, other Scorn suffer from a gradual decay of mental faculties and mutations the more times they die and come back, with the Screebs and Abominations being the worst among them. The lore has shown the mental states of Revenant Scorn, those created from living Eliksni through the Echo, aren't that much better. But if the Echo is revealed to have had a unique effect on Dark Ether, such as halting the further decay of Scorn from repeated resurrections, that would be a big problem. It would mean powerful and intelligent Revenant Scorn would remain so after each resurrection, just like Fikrul himself. It would also be a boon for Scorn who were created before Fikrul got his hands on the Echo.
