Why are there so many people who use these forums who think no one should ever reply to a post on here unless you agree with said post? So many people don't seem to understand that a forum isn't used for people to agree with your post 100% of the time. If some people want to only have those who agree with them saying anything, then don't use a forum. What they want is called a support group. It gets even worse when said people can't even defend their own point on their own post, so they have to hide behind private messages just to insult and cry to someone because they didn't agree with them.

Edited by SenXXII: 11/4/2024 9:47:00 PMIt's because a lot of people lack emotional maturity to even talk about a game and the simple fact that people don't agree is seen as toxic and stops us from actually discussing the game that we like playing. It's people who think in 1 dimension thinking that everyone only thinks in 1 dimension and demonize people who disagree with them rather than having a genuine conversation about the game. There will always be radical people. Whether they're elitist or toxic casuals. It doesn't matter because this place is built on emotional opinions rather than discussing a topic in good faith. This concept isn't new either. This is in newer games. This is in journalism. This is on Twitter most of all. And here. Because plugging your ears and demonizing the "other side" stops communication which leads ignorance and useless fighting that will get up nowhere. These people who aren't emotionally mature enough to have these discussions (people calling others elitists and no life's and casuals and trash at the game, BDF). When it's just a video game that should be fun. Its Bungie's fault for making a game that doesn't have a major focus on the flow of the game. Bungie makes the decisions so it doesn't make sense to be at each other's throats here because it doesn't do anything. Then you have trolls. They provide no meaning to themselves or anybody here. But that's another story. A story involving therapy and other means to become a normal human being. Hope they find the help they need and all that. Tldr: people aren't emotionally mature enough to talk about opposing ideas and critically think about why they have certain opinions and why another person has opposing opinions. But there's also people who don't consider other human beings ideas because they think they're the only one that matters. There needs to be a level of respect for fellow players and humans beings. But not too much to the point you say that the ends justify the means Edit: Also the people that can't handle an opposing opinion, I know you're not gonna believe me, but I genuinely hope you understand you need therapy if you can't. Like I hope you get the help you need. If you're an adult, talk to your doctor.
