cross save locked
I tryed to unlink my xbox from bungie and keep it on my pc linked. but when I unlinked it all my progress was saved on my xbox instead of the pc and now I have to wait 90 day fix this. is there any way to shorten the time or fix my issue

Hi there! There is no way to shorten or remove the cooldown from deactivating Cross Save. Without knowing what your Cross Save configuration initially was, we cannot provide information on what you are looking to accomplish. However, based on the description you provided, it sounds your Cross Save was set with your XBOX account set as your primary account. If this is correct, then it correctly returned your characters to the XBOX platform. Cross Save does not transfer characters or inventories. It rather sets your inactive accounts in the background, while your primary account is used across all linked platforms.

Edited by EckyThump: 11/4/2024 2:14:06 AMHey there, characters and progress are permanently locked to the platform on which they were created, your characters were created on XBox and XBox was the Active account in your cross-save setup. Any time you played on Steam, you were actually logging into this XBox character set and making progress there. It is not possible to move or transfer characters from one account to another, deactivating cross-save was always going to end like this - cross save was allowing you to access your XBox characters on Steam, and now cross-save has been cancelled, that access has been lost. Whatever you see on Steam now is whatever you had before cross-saving. There was never a way to have the characters 'move' to Steam. Unfortunately the cooldowns are mandatory and unskippable, there is no way to reduce nor bypass them.
