I ran haunted sector normal and expert I also Ran strikes and events let me tell you candy drop with the mask
Normal strike which is advanced 104 pieces
Haunted sector normal: 79 pieces
Haunted sector expert 231 pieces plus bonus of ritual tacks on another 25 pieces for total 256 pieces
Then public event it is different on all events the ones on edz were dropping 150 pieces of candy but the ones in cosmodrome dropped 210 for me but this is from what I have experienced including those who tagged along then for the moon if you do it solo at the sorrows harbor in one hour you can rack up 2000+ pieces of candy

From my experience The public event loop in the EDZ is the fastest
-
I get more from Gambit than any other method. It's way faster than vanguard.

I've been asking for candy since 2009 ~ Paulo Nutini

Fastest way is heroic public events if you play solo. Run 12 public events then run a couple of Haunted Sectors to grab a an engram.

*cough* titan hammer + in the deep *cough*

Easiest way I found: Shattered throne final boss CP.. 2 minutes ~ 160 candies Basically the time it takes for you to change character and join the fireteam with the another character.. it’s pretty boring tho. I was swapping character for the FT and gave up after 20 clears

Strikes are crazily generous! the chest at the end can give you 390 candies and extras. I got the exotic class item and having a blast with it..

Edited by TwinStripe9070: 10/31/2024 2:11:38 PMOn average, you should get 150 from a normal public event and 185 from a heroic (plus any additional you actually pick up from the kills) so they're currently the most time efficient way of getting candy itself (roughly 2000 an hour depending upon how many you can cram in). In EDZ you can pretty much bounce from event to event If just gathering candy for the class items, Pale Heart Overthrow is actually faster on average If AFK is your thing, Solar Titan running the last section on 'In the Deep' on the Moon can just jump on a rock, throw a hammer and get Sol Invictus to proc over and over while thralls just throw themselves into the fire. [EDIT] Also, if you hate PvP, the Private Matches in Crucible also help you complete the Crucible and Ritual steps in the Event Challenges. Zone Control + 5 minute matches + 25 score to win = profit. Completed the Crucible step in 6 matches doing this, but a fair bit longer for the Ritual (only about 3% progress per match)
