The punishment for staying in pvp lobbies
Everyone’s quitting QP and comp matches (trials happens also), and I have to stay, take the L, lose points, kd, and most important, my time. I have to stay because if I don’t, I got punished and suspended. Do you see why your system is bad?
I joined a match in progress, everyone in my team keeps leaving, I leave also and got suspended, why?
You have something wrong with your system and algorithm, because you are not protecting the players who stay. Your “quitter’s protection” algorithm only works in very specific situations, most of the time the teammates leave and I have to stay and take the f L.
You MUST have a better protection specially in SOLOS.

I honestly don’t even care anymore, just quit whenever you feel like it and save yourself from the frustration, and spend the 5 minutes flipping through your phone or something else in game. Bungo doesn’t seem to understand that penalties will not solve anything and people will still quit, most of the quitting happens because the connections are often so bad that your opponents dont take damage properly, and because the team balance is still all over the place if not worse than ever.

Even when players don't quit it seems like most matches are mercy or get mercied. I don't recall it being this bad until recently. Maybe because of low populations? At any rate I imagine that's the reason why people are leaving... Like someone else said there needs to be a vote to forfeit. Kind of silly to make gamers suffer until mercy rule when the writing is on the wall already.

There should be a "vote to forfeit" option that requires all players to accept before activating.

Like, I purchased this game with all annual passes, if Bungie matching me with very skilled team and game is not fair, I have a right to quit bad experience! I'm here to play and have fun not get stomped by 3 stacks pretty much every single game, I have right to quit and get matched with different more fair team, why should I get restricted within a game that I bought? Because Bungies matchmaking is bad, I shouldn't be penalized for it. It's Bungies problem at this point

Player leave because shots don’t register. Frustration out ways fun Bungie makes thing even more frustrating Players say fk this and leave anyway.

Got on last night for a 6v6 and they literally matched me and a bunch of other solo players against two 3 stacks from the same clan. In less that 2 minutes the score was like 36 to 4. I logged off with complete disgust for the game at that point.

I can even get a game in comp...the wait is terrible....are there really no players left in pvp?

When a player Leaves - a countdown begins and when that timer hits 0 you have the option to leave without getting a Penalty but still gaining a Loss (obviously). Saves time and effort and gives players an option if they think they can do a 2v3. How long is a comp game, 10 minutes? So after like a minute or 30 seconds a notification pops up in-game to let you know you can leave with a Loss with no penalty.

I don’t support quitting matches, and I don’t do it myself, but I can understand, based on some of the matches that I am placed into, why people leave matches. Destiny is the type of game that is not fun to be on a losing team in a complete smashing, because there are literally snowball mechanics built into the game. It’s very clear that Bungie has no intention of correcting the problem of one team always destroying the other in this game. So many players who value their time, are taking the matter into their own hands and leaving Matches that should’ve never been composed in the first place .

Even in control there are floods of people quitting cause they don’t want to play against certain players or a losing game ….just silly ! You quit and then go into another game exactly the same 🙄🤷🏼♂️

7 RepliesYou should definitely be able to leave without getting suspended if you're the last one. Those matches aren't fun for anyone and its like you can tell that the other team is getting pissed that you're staying. You can play a 2v3 fine enough for people to not quit though. I still can't believe that so many people quit so easily and then wonder why the matchmaking doesn't work. You literally can't do both of those and expect the outcome you want.
