It's absolutely insane and mind boggling who is playing in Trials currently. This playlist became the most casual PVP playlist a long time ago (somewhere around introducing solo players) but now it's even lower than that. It's like new light players decide to go straight to Trials after installing the game for the first time...
I don't know what can be done to address this and even if it needs addressing but I will be leaving those games that are 100% lost from the start... I'm sorry... I'm just not good enough to carry two - 0.3 KDs or 0 KDs (because it's their first Trials match ever) against 2 or 3 players at my level (not to mention better ones). You can report me for sabotage you can ban me constantly for 0,5h... I do not care... playing Trials is frustrating enough as it is to risk going absolutly insane after dealing with this type of bullshit...

Edited by JazzyPaladin477: 10/19/2024 4:56:07 PMA trials player asking for sbmm to protect sweats from new lights. I’ve seen it all now. That was the last square on my bingo card. 😂

I’m terrible, but I jump in to get the weapons, as people say, if you want the gear, you have to be willing to play to get it.
-
Better that than no life sweats dominating the mode every weekend
-
Maybe get a team?
-
Leaving matches because you didn't get good teammates is disrespectful to your mates and cowardly. Trials is not a "make a wish"
-
I think it lures in players who don't usually play PvP.
-
Maybe you should ask prople from your clan to start a fireteam for trials so you won't get matched up with random people. You did win 9 of your last 14 matches in trials.
-
Down to the final 1v1 and can't even have it be straight up.

Trials is dead. Less than 20K total players on a Saturday night. Even I stopped playing. I would do between 100-200 matches a weekend no matter what. TFS PvP is dreadful. Whomever is responsible for the feel of PvP since the new expansion needs letting go. They have killed PvP. And it’s not an exaggeration. Look at the figures. Poor Jake.

This is why I don’t play Trials and Comp anymore. Two things need to disappear from Trials and PVP in general: -Fireteam based matchmaking! Totally killed the team play. Around 200 players at all time playing 3v3 and your team is going to match mainly cheaters and top tier players stacks. - Passages of persistence! There it is! The main reason for that many 0.1 players to jump into the playlist. Getting wiped game after game and ruining so many players cards, but they don’t care. Bungie gave them a chance to get adept loot. I would also like to see different weapon types being disabled every week in comp and trials so we can get out of the Meta.

If everyone sucks then double carry bro. Thats what I do when I play 👍🏻
-
Trials is full of little kids using xim and crounus and m&k. It’s unplayable. Now I’m playing a normal playlist and it’s night and day.
-
My bad. Sorry, not sorry.

Edited by A_mo: 10/19/2024 10:52:26 PMI have scored broken zero more times this week in more modes than almost ever. I'm terrible but my whole team will be scoring zero too. They're going to have to do something to attract people to be destroyed in a pure unadulterated awesome gameplay environment. Its the only hope.

I'm sure you've heard all this before, but... EVERYONE GETS CARRIED SOMETIMES. YOU HAVE THE OPTION OF PICKING YOUR OWN TEAM. TRIALS DOESN'T USE SBMM OR LOBBY BALANCING FOR VERY GOOD REASONS. I sure hope you're never on my team. I might just leave, so I won't have to carry.

I'm seeing a lot of responses saying to "get a team", and to at least some degree, I'm in line with that argument However, there are some specific details people need to remember. This whole discussion boils down to the SBMM vs. CBMM debate again. I don't really see either side as better, but I do see think neither will be good if the player stays as low as it is now. At the moment, the matchmaking debate is less of a "which is better" and more of a "which isn't as bad", and when that's the kind of discussion we're having only under the veil of the former, it means it's not worth fighting over until the surrounding environment is better. Going in as a group of three players might make the initial few wins easier (usually the first three at most), but it's been shown time and time again that the experience goes from good to awful upon crossing that threshold. On the other hand, going in solo doesn't have that threshold. It might be harder, but I've found that the level of difficulty stays somewhat constant throughout a card to Flawless. That being said it's still not a fulfilling experience. I usually just stick to playing Rumble even if it isn't healthy for my KD :P

I'm by no means a pvp god, but it gets a little frustrating playing blowout matches because I keep getting teammates who seem to have no situational awareness. Sometimes I just leave and take the 30-minute suspension, it's better than sticking around in a one-sided match.

Good players feel the exact same thing with you on there team That you feel with 0.5s ngl
-
Skill issue
-
You could always use fire team finder and make a team…. It would avoid all this
-
I’ve seen the same, not every game but pretty often. I will say tho, if new lights are on the opposite side, would you not gladly take the 5:0? RNG is a big part in solo trials and it’s the same system for everyone.
-
If you're struggling with Trials of Osiris, perhaps video games aren't your calling. Have you considered something less challenging? Like breathing? Keep up the mediocre work; it's quaint.
-
It’s not that bad from the games I played. Farming a bunch of Yesterday’s Question rolls is good too.
-
I'm shy too but if you want it bad enough you get yourself a team.
