Imbalance and broken matchmaking in the competitive playlist.
Question for the developers: don't you think it's unfair to take 160 points from a player when he plays solo against a full stack in a competitive playlist? You constantly tell us about mythical changes in the competitive playlist sandbox, but in reality everything is always getting worse. I understand that a minimal number of people play competitive, even fewer play Adept and higher, but a solo player should never match against a full team. I would really like to hear detailed explanations of why this happens, although I think you just don't care.

Tell me about it. I had both my blueberries leave barely a minute in and since there is no way to win Collision in a 1v3 I left as well. Cost me 150 points and a 30 minute suspension (for making the enemy team lose out on kd farming, I suppose). Such a stupid system.

Same here, matching with 3 stacks of players with multiple hundred flawless's, 2.0-4.0kd's And I was in my untested probation matches, not sure what bungie did but [u]man[/u] they need to reverse it.

Yea Comp feels like a complete disaster full of cheaters. I always have two day one players on my team

Not just comp the entirety of pvp in this game is absolute bullshit. Continuous matchmaking changes, refusal to do anything about cheaters in pc lobbies and Cronus xim in console lobbies, and the baseline of it all is straight up peer to peer connection. They don’t know how to properly do PvP plain and simple

I would think the only explanation is the game couldn’t find another team of three for them to match with. but I’ve cued in the past with 3 people and got error coded for not being able to find a match and never matched against 3 randoms so really no clue.

Matchmaking isn’t even working for me earlier today. Brought a friend in with me both in the 2-4K range at times and stuck at 2/6. Just went and played quick play/elimination.

4 RepliesUnfortunately you kinda answered your own question. With such a small pool of players for comp, “fair” matchmaking is impossible. I still enjoy comp (somewhat) but I no longer see it as a competitive game mode since its dropped in quality so much. Everything seems like different ways to play casual🤷♂️
