Decided to return after not touching the game since Forsaken....now stuck with Guardian as my name forever it seems
Haven't touched the game since Forsaken Season of the Drifter. Decided to return to play with some buddies, now my name is Guardian7517. Last time I played I was launching through Battle.net, now through Steam, I have tried to change my name multiple times through the Identity Settings, but it's just stuck saying "You can only change your name once." I'm aware that Bungie changing a players ID counts as a name change, but it seems they gave the entire community a free name change back in August, so are the players that decide to return AFTER that day, just relegated to FOREVER being Guardian####? If not, how can I get my name changed.

That notice is just for posterity, if you can enter a name in the field, then you do still have a name change token. I would recommend choosing carefully, as once you are out of them then you could be Guardian1234 forever should you pick something that runs afoul of the filter/name policy.
