Bungie Name issue still not resolved
The forced name change glitch/bug/whatever that happened on Aug 13th is still not resolved. Even in the linked tweet, the name change token wasn't issued. As far as I can see, there haven't been any more updates about this.

Wait that was in Aug 13th? I tried starting a destiny 2 account to play with friends and found out that right now any new players are forced to guardian and some old players as well, and i read from a couple places that this is new like https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/article/twid_10_10_2024 Known Issues While we continue investigating various known issues, here is a list of the latest issues that were reported to us: Bungie Names cannot be changed.
