Wrong respawn location in Encore
PLATFORM: PlayStation 5
ISSUE: During the final fight of the Encore mission, respawn to the circular portal room
REPRO STEPS: It happened to me twice, after collecting all the secret chests. Once with two other players, once with just one other player. On the first death in the final boss fight, I respawned to the room with the four portals. Upon transferring Fighting Lion to kill myself, I kept respawning to the portal room. The other players respawned to the boss room every time they died. It only happened to me, I wasn't the host.
ACTUAL RESULT: I couldn't participate in the fight but I did receive the rewards at the end.
EXPECTED RESULT: Being able to participate in the fight.

3 RepliesEdited by jhermannITJ: 9/30/2024 5:13:57 PMHere's a skill everyone should learn that most are unaware of: A dedicated instance is a big box, within it sub-instances called Darkness Zones. When you're in a darkness zone, there are dedicated spawn points for your guardian. In the rest of the instance, it's not restricted... continued progress is allowed. As such the game sets spawn points. I know, from your description, the last time you stood idle for 15 secs was when you were doing the puzzles before boss. On normal, they removed the darkness zone. So, if you're in a non-restricted zone/encounter. Stand still, no inputs for 15 secs to set your spawn point. Next time you do boss wait for 15 secs before starting the encounter.

I once died to the tormentor and I respawned at the beginning

we had this happen to a 3 man fire team after a damage phase and going thru a back portal , we solved the issue by taking turns exiting the fire team and rejoining passing leader to the first guy bk in which put us 1 by 1 bk into the fight

This is THE worst bug. Two at the end of the mission in regards to vex modules. I also hate that this stupid mission has to be run multiple times to progress the season. FU bungie.

The mission’s had issues since it launched, and they still haven’t ironed everything out at the end of the episode. If they get around to it, I expect they might fix it somewhere near the end of next episode. Because by now most players are finished with Encore. And the new content will undoubtedly be another bug-ridden mess, so that’ll take priority
