Thoughts on Chromatic Fire changes

I'm sure every warlock knows that this exotic is underwhelming, and that sun shot and graviton could do the trick in a stronger fashion and for legendary replacements there is the well known zhaolis, and any weapon with incandescent/firefly/dragonfly so, what can we do about it? #1 if it is mpossible to make this work on light and darkness damage types, then there needs to be an incentive on precision hits for kinetics similar to the facet of solitude/thread of isolation #2 if it isn't, then it should work with weapons matching your subclass, which yes, includes the doom of chelchis, which has both firefly and dragonfly (dont bunch up in pvp, this is an unwritten and *very* obvious rule in pvp) #3 the damage it deals will be the same as before, at base, but will get the precision damage scalar of the weapon that is used yes, this means that some weapons will be abnormally stronger than others, and that's fine, we can tune those later on, first we need to get people to use this thing after a rework #4 kills from the chromatic fire explosion, will count as precision kills from the weapon, which is also to tie in with the precision damage scalar #5 I'm not sure if this is already applied, but in pve, the *DAMAGE* and *RADIUS*of the explosion will scale according to the rank of the combatant, obviously this would be silly to have on bosses, but absolutely amazing with a 50 meter range and a huge damage boom to wipe out the room obviously this will be tuned, but remember that these warlocks are risking their life to fight the big guy, or at least trying to get the precision kill, and ignoring everything else, so this will definitely make them useful to have in a fireteam #5.2 the Linger effects will last longer depending on the rank of the combatant, for scorch it will be more scorch, same for stasis, which yes, you may be able to have pseudo incandescent by killing a boss, but don't forget about stasis, that will be nice to see, and this will be continued with point #6 #6 Extended Precision hits will also provide the debuff but not the death activated explosion (i think adding the explosion itself without a kill would destroy the base of this exotic, but you choose) but this will activate *ONCE* with the following shot after 150% of the magazine is precision hits and be on a 1 second cooldown (3 in pvp in case this is actually pulled off with a bow) until it can be built up again this is more for rewind rounds weapons and machine guns on bosses but you can tune how you like will this be good for soloing content? yes will this be above other exotic in soloing content? probably not due to abilities already being so strong will pvp be a nightmare? yes, but it is nothing that can't be changed in the same week I do want this exotic to be a weapon based exotic, so I don't want any ability boosting stuff here, but also be viable and strong enough to work in endgame content, and be a real pick for warlocks also yes, voidwalkers and storm callers will be strong, BUT stasis and solar will be able to make freezing/igniting explosions on bosses which just sounds like a dream lol RIP strand, applying unravel would be insane for damage, but it's sever, which may help in ad-dense rooms, or even killing one ad in a boss filled room

  • Damage and range of explosion need a moderate increase and darkness debuffs should be changed, Stasis should be freeze but keep slow for pvp, warlock is supposed to prioritize freeze. Strand should be unravel or should create threadlings as thats what strand warlock specializes in.
