These seem so fun and dungeon like. Enemy Banes are not just high tier enemies, so they can be just as much as a cognitive threat as other powerful enemies. I like that they have counters and downsides to not being prepared in the moment to deal with them. Just as the exploding enemies, if you can not take them down in time. Enemies do feel really same-same sometimes, giving new artillery and abilities do help make in game choices feel like "I have prepared for this moment with all my gear and experience". Hopefully, even more types of silly and interesting enemy Banes come after these, with improved old modifiers!

If they do it properly (and with Bungie that's always a very big 'IF') it can work really well. Warframe does something similar where one of their high level activities has a bunch of negative modifiers that rotate on a daily basis that you can selectively choose to include to improve your chances at getting higher level drops You can choose whether to enable none, some or all, and the more modifiers you have, the better the loot table, so hopefully that's what they're going for because everybody wins with that kind of setup.
