New champion types... enemy modifiers... awesome, an immediate improvement to GMs & endgame.

The Banes are just new champion affix's that, presumably, can attach to most enemy types. If you don't think Nukes aren't going to be a problem in endgame... Or a hob sniper in a GM that needs to be melee'd before you can dmg it... Those 2 affix's will create new de-facto champions in endgame content. And I love it. Essentially, any enemy can be turned into a champion now... imagine a teleporting meteor Wyvern. A Nuclear Tormentor... berserker gun bats!? Cool stuff. I wonder IF we'll see a preview starting tomorrow. We don't know much about the new enemy modifiers... but maybe will see a preview of the new one mentioned tomorrow too, lol. That would be hilarious. Beware the engrams in Skywatch, lol.

  • It sounds semi-interesting. Would still 100% prefer more original and engaging content, over the exact same enemy races & models with “a twist” 😬

        • what are you happy about? it looks stupid and pathetic in an attempt to interest the same 1% of players... i don't see the point in playing d2 with these changes, people complain about the difficulty and they increase it lol... it's not surprising that most left the game, these changes are just an empty sound in the room and no one will like it, you will see it from the players' comments...🤡

If we go by this business track record of making things look good on paper I don't see this working out well. Sure it will change up the pace which has been a much-needed option, but everything else will be the same. [b]How is avoiding the main issue with the game which is a huge portion of the content in this game does not have any incentive to run, and how is having the option to modify how anyone runs the activities in this game actually going to improve that incentive?[/b] [spoiler]It doesn't[/spoiler] I'm all up for change, but 99% of the changes made in the game are to either distract the gamer or avoid having to put actual effort into trying to at least improve or fix the glaring issues with the game. Motifires are not going to fix the glaring issues with the loot system. They are not going to fix the glaring issues with the RNG. They not going to fix the glaring issue of how progress means absolutely nothing in this game. They not going to fix the way overdone padded playtime. They are not going to fix the glaring issue of how this game is overflooded with junk loot. They are not going to fix the fake power grind. The list goes on because this business spends way too much time and money always looking for ways around the glaring issues in this game. Modifiers will help for about what, 5 minutes tops, but they are not what this game needs. What this game needs is an actual developer who wants to improve the game, but it's more than obvious this one doesn't seeing how they are so invested in wanting to waste a gamer's time playing their game.

            • IDC about any of this, IDC about making the game easier or harder, IDC about modifiers, IDC about returning weapons for the 5th time with an origin trait, IDC about doing the same nightfall, dungeon or raid for the 50th time. I want to do new things, Where is the new stuff? I want new content, not new systems to do the same old content in to get old loot I already had. How is this exciting for anyone?

              It sounds like they’re doing something similar to halo skulls coming soon with banes/modifiers to missions and I’m REALLY looking forward to it. A customizable and rewarding mission selector sounds so good, and it keeps those complaining about “difficulty” happy too (they just get less loot)

                • They look fun to face, and don’t artificially increase difficulty (forcing players to change how they approach the game is what difficulty should be. Not just making things hit harder and take more damage.)

                    I have been saying they need to make enemies more dynamic, this is awesome Champions are outdated, boring and repetitive, stun and kill,a red bar knight is harder to kill than a barrier knight Hive Guardians and Tormentors were refreshing, actually are a threat that takes strategy to defeat The Dread was dissapointing, Scorn is tougher imo But they shouldn't stop there What if Lucent Hive had exotic armor , and max resilience and recovery, and healing abilities and could revive each other like players , Imagine a Hive Knight popping a blinding suppressing Ward Of Dawn, Imagine if Hive Wizards could put down a well , Imagine Hive Hunters going invis and tethering players I also think they need to add Dark aligned Humans into the PvE sandbox , the vision at the season finale of Arrivals showed all species of Sol bowing to the pyramids , which came true except for us, you kill Humans in Uncharted also and it has the same rating as D2
