why does the companion app behave so poorly?

genuine question: why does the companion app behave so poorly? i just want to purchase bounties, and it's a dice roll as to whether i'll get a bounty, or if the app will sit there spinning and doing nothing for many minutes and then complain about my networking. it's never my networking: other apps work fine on the same connection. sometimes i can get past the spinning by doing an app history swipe / restart. sometimes i have to do a android "force-stop" and restart. sometimes i log out and back in and it finally works. sometimes i just have to give up and go visit the vendors in-game if i want bounties. it's never my network: if my network were that broken i couldn't surf websites, watch youtube, play the game, i couldn't use DIM, etc. stop blaming my network please :) i think you need to revisit your networking implementation in the app: i don't think you're detecting failed connections properly, i don't think you're handling retries properly. don't make me have to go do a packet trace to prove these things, please just take a look at how your code handles networking error conditions and timeouts.

  • My problem with the app is when I pick any bounty, from any vendor, it will put a blue check mark on the bounty on the app I picked, acting as if the bounty went to my quests inventory but in the game, the bounties are not showing up in my account. Is this getting fixed soon because this has been going on for weeks now?
