Console player using roller here. And I can honestly say I’ve never been two bursted more by a high impact pulse than I have these past couple weeks. And every time it happens, it’s Elsie’s with Zen/Headseeker. Every time.
I ain’t trying to hate on high impacts. I love my Messenger and have well over 10K crucible kills with it across different rolls. And I’ve enjoyed Red Death this season even after the nerfs. And I think that, at least on console, high impacts have been pretty fair up until Elsie’s with Zen/Head.
I just don’t wanna see all high impacts nerfed because one widely available gun rolls with two perks that completely remove any risk attached to using a high impact pulse. I’d rather see Zen removed from Elsie’s (high impacts in general). They’ve done this before with QuickDraw on aggressive frame shotties.

And 340s/elsies are not even the top gun used. We are still easily in a 120 140 hand cannon meta based on gun usuage and top player gun usage. Unlike hand cannons 340s require the player to be out in the open with very minimal if none strafing with low mobility without peek shooting to actually get that 2 burst ttk with absolute consistency. To a noob with 0 movement who doesnt know understand or refuses to get better at the game 340 seem broken when in reality they're at best very strong. Literally every post I have seen complaining about 340s have been from people trying to main hand cannons who are clearly refusing to improve on their movement and would rather qq on the forums. Literally every single one is a self proclaimed HC main qq. The thing is 450 autos were already nerfed, because of that we are in a hand cannon rose/iggy meta, and if 340's are nerfed it will be a very very gross 140 120 meta. And I'm very positive the 450 nerf (which made 340s more powerful for their range coverage) were the same people who attempt to main HCs for reasons other than their own performance qq'ing because there was a gun that could outperform theirs if they weren't using their weapon archetype the way it is meant to be used. Also to everyone complaining, the most xim and cronused gun archetypes are 140 and 120 hcs by a landslide. So those asking for a nerf do not realize the hellscape they're ushering in on the playerbase if their wishes are granted considering how many people cheat at higher elo's and that trials is not sbmm. And to those of you that do not understand how to use hand cannons. The gun archetype should never and I mean never out ttk a gun archetype that cannot peek shoot. If it can it becomes the most broken weapon in the game. The way you are meant to use handcannons is to take advantage of the movement they provide. Handcannons have by very large margins the highest per bullet damage excluding scout rifles, the highest ranges (iggy actually has more range than 340s), the highest strafe speeds, the highest in air accuracy, the highest aim assist values, the lowest zoom, and the lowest ads speeds of any gun archetype. If you think it is only fair that other guns have to kill as slow as your hand cannon you have no idea what you're talking about and need to get off the forums and go learn how to properly play the game. Oh and btw asside from scout rifles, 450 and 340s pulses have the lowest numbers in most of those stats, lower than even the riposte in almost all of those stats which only kills 0.03 seconds slower.
