Hi Bungie Team,
I'm writing to report that, like many others, I am still waiting for my name change token to revert my name to its original form. Despite the update acknowledging this issue, I have not yet received the token, and it’s been frustrating not to be able to fix this problem.
I’ve seen on the forums and on social media that some players have already received their tokens and were able to change their names back. Unfortunately, I haven’t received mine, and the issue remains unresolved. The sudden name change to something like "Guardian#0000" has been disappointing, especially after years of playing under a specific identity.
I also noticed the recent post from the Destiny 2 Team on August 31st, where they confirmed that the issue causing the name changes had been resolved and that all players were supposed to receive an additional name change token. However, I still have not received mine, and this has left me unable to restore my original name.
It’s disheartening to see that, even though some players are getting their tokens, others like myself are still left in the dark. I would appreciate any information on when this issue will be fully resolved and when we can expect these tokens to be distributed to everyone affected.
Thank you.

Hi there, Thanks for reporting. we are already in the process of solving the name change issue.

When you go to the name change section of settings, does it display 'you can only change your name once' under the text box or 'you have no remaining name changes'? If its the first, you have a token but your name is still being filtered. Bungie are looking back into why the fix hasn't resolved it. Depending on what your previous name was, this may be intentional as they weren't allowing all names to be used again.

Probably because chulo is not allowed.
