ACT 3 Echoes - This is Daul Destiny all over again
This is as disappointing as Daul Destiny. I got all the way to end the end solo and the game soft locked and now I can't complete it.
I'm a dad, a husband and I go to work. I don't have that much spare time. This is definitely forced for players who have more time on their hands. I spent the £80-90 for the Annual Pass and this is what I get in return? A mission that is soooooooo long and dragged out, 90% platform and puzzles, then 10% shooting + A boss that has a terrible bug that forces the player to die again and again and again because the weak spot doesn't spawn in. I don't even have a meta build to reduce its health fast because I'm more of a casual + story driven player.
I swear once this year is over with and The final shape + it's "episodes" are done I won't be coming back to D2. I'm only playing it at this point for the money I put in.
No wonder The Final Shape did worst than Lightfall. Good Luck with Marathon.

I did a solo flawless run tonight in 32 minutes. If you can't get it done then maybe you should take up gardening.

I’m also a solo player and it’s definitely not as disappointing as Dual (which is literally unplayable solo) this CAN be done solo, and the boss (when not bugged) is super easy. The hardest part of this mission is probably the tormentor and subjugator team but even that you can lure the tormentor and fight it by itself. It took me 3 hours, which stinks, it needs checkpoints for sure, but its so far from “disappointing” like dual destiny

16 RepliesThey are designing the game for no life streamers that can instantly get teammates (teammates that also happen to be god tier, are very engaged in game, knowledgeable, have perfect builds and don't want to embarrass themselves on a stream so they sweat while playing). The teammates streamers get are not what regular joes find in LFG They don't want solo players, casuals, dads, for some reason Bungie wants this game as a job. Probably because the loudest voices are streamers that moan "there's nothing to do" because they no life the game in daily 12 hour streams. Honestly its best we all move on

It's the 1st time I've been time restricted, new puppy, n once I saw it's an hour or so & no checkpoints, the rope broke & I decided I'm done with bungies BS. Ive not missed playing & I'm looking forward to the black ops 6 beta 2moro. Just stop playing

I beat it solo blind with mid weapons in an hour and a half. Of which 20 or so minutes were spent exercising between each puzzle/encounter. Pretty easy overall.

Which for 90 percent of the time for the last 10 years has been the case. Now this. The mission (apart from bugs) looks pretty on par for an exotic mission. Do not have an issue with it and looks good, etc....will give it a go once bugs are fixed. BUT problem here is that these were always stand alone missions that could be done or not if you did not want the weapon itself. NOW these are integral to the story mission steps and have to be done to progress my Titan's journey. In a way similar to Dual Destiny, why is getting an exotic class item not solo as per rest of Final shape story? The mission itself looks great but again getting the exotic class item to me seemed very much part of the campaign yet you have to do it with some one else although not the campaign itself. My argument is that it never used to be like this only since Season of the Seraph things have got in the way for solo players and the story itself. Not fair on us (who have paid good money too for episodes) and yes not a problem for those who can do co op etc so why force it on solo players in a quest step? Plus Titans cannot jump so they happily put in chasm wide jump puzzles too. Where did the FPS from our MMO RPG FPS genre inception go and where does platforming come into it?

What I find very annoying is that we have waited so long for act 3 to start only to find out that act three is for one thing only a exotic auto rifle and its catalyst for that weapon. Now I can understand why the numbers of players has declined rapidly over the last few months which makes me wonder if there is any future in this game at all.

3 Replieslol how does this exotic have anything to do with dual destiny Also u went in so it bugged out yes this games always had bugs that soft lock encounters but your still here I’m a dad of a 4 year old work and married but I play when I can but to blame bungie becuase u don’t have time is vary entitled get over yourself maybe don’t do it solo and use lfg that’s in game so it’s fast.

yes, it stinks that it glitches but it doesn't for everyone. if it glitches at the end, just jump off the edge to -blam!- to re-set it and try again. i had to do that last part 3 times before it finally worked. went faster each time knowing what/how to do things so it's really not that bad.

Your lifestyle should not be a determinate of the game. In otherwords, play another game if you don’t have the time for Destiny. It’s punishing, but you can’t expect a game to cater to your every need, and rather, you should instead find a game that already does so. It’s gatekeeping sure, but at the same time, blame yourself and not the game for not having time.
