OK hear me out,
Now that Bungie has "staff problems" (Hope that all those people who were let go find a job quickly) I think it is a pretty good time for Bungie to slow down with the new content in Destiny and focus more on DCV specifically old campaigns, seasonal activities, and seasonal story
I'll split this into a few sections:
Campaigns
So, my opinion is that Bungie should maybe stop releasing seasons/chapters for a year and instead give us back old campaigns. Maybe a mission a week or something like that, with strikes and maps connected to said activity returning, too. They could still sell a Battle Pass that would have its free part filled with some older, now inaccessible armor/weapons, while the paid one would contain some new stuff.
The new stuff could be in my opinion stylized to the campaign it is connected to:
Red War - Weapons and Armor similar in style to "whites" to allow more look options for those wanting their guardians to look like Post apo soldiers
Curse of Osiris - Egyptian/Osiris-looking stuff
Warmind - Same with Arctic and Warmind stylized stuff
Forsaken - good old Fallen and Wild West style
This way Bungie can give us old stuff while making minimum work with the new one and making money on it.
Also, this would allow for the weekly Legendary campaign missions to return as a ritual activity.
Seasonal activities
For those Bungie should add a new rotational playlist to the Vanguard Tab that would contain each week a different "seasonal horde mod" so, for example, one week there would be Forges, second Osiris Dial, then the Warmind activity (which I don't remember what it was as I fell off destiny back then), Menagerie, etc
The loot pool for these activities could consist of the weapons and armor that were part of the Battle pass for respecting seasons (Forges - Black Armory stuff, etc)
"Seasonal story"
For the Seasonal story, Bungie should in my opinion use the seasonal cutscenes they had, connect them to the weekly missions we got and make mini campaigns out of them that could then also populate the Timeline, this way we could all replay the missions where we fight alongside Saint, or missions where we, our allies deal with their Nightmares, etc.
And let's not forget the heresy that the Cayde & Crow storyline from Final Shape is the only one that is not replayable, while in my opinion, it is the best one of them all.
Additional options
All of these options will increase the amount of PvE content in the game, but it also has bonuses for PvP with old maps returning bringing back a bigger variety into the matches
For Gambit Bungie should, in my opinion, bring back some Gambit Prime mechanics by making the Gear classes that were present in Gambit Prime pick-up bonuses, so for example when you kill an enemy you have some chance let's say 5% for red 15% for orange and 50% for yellow bar enemies to drop an aura in which when you walk up you get a bonus for a limited time like the Collector that would allow you to carry more motes and similar for other classes, this way gambit would become way more dynamic with maybe putting in additional power-ups in the style of Cod Zombies like Damage aura around you or overshield to everyone close to you, unlimited ammo for a limited time, etc
What do you think about this? In my opinion, this would give us back content that many of us loved, more variety and most importantly Time for Bungie to Clean their own house and make some order there.
