Simple they wanted people to be able to use it with other exotics IMO not an exotic it pairs very well with thunderlord this week for example I have OL covered AB on my raid pulse and then this tank of a shotty for all around DPS and champ melting. Sometimes they just know how the meta is and know if they made it an exotic they would have to either make it game breaking (which it is boarder-line as a legendary) or have some other gimmick to get it any load out use champ stun, one of a kind keyword or effect. But instead of all that drama they made it unique in the fact it’s an aggressive shotty with Trench and the new cast no shadow perk meaning on a warlock for example using threaded needle you can melee three shot melee three shot melee three shot etc and unlike every other variant of that kind of trench shotty it’s kinetic damage boost pushes it over the top I usually kill any champs I’m shooting in 4/6 shots depending if I land my headshots or not and that’s without properly stunning them and on GM difficulty. Do you really want to complain about that? I think they gave us a gift from the silent god itself just saying. Leave it alone it’s perfect
