problems with the class items:
-too grindy (the buff ended nerfing drop rates)
-rng is horrible, 1/64 for the desired roll.
-192 vault spaces for all combinations, which is just simply wasteful.
-columns just prevent us from using 2 perks together, i want buildcrafting freedom
solution:
-there should be 2 mod slot for the exotic perks, where we can just choose any 2 combination to use,
these perks should be permanently unlockable, and should be random drops from current sources.
-this makes it free and less grindy since perks are unlocked permanently and can be combined how we want them.
-future addition of new perks can be farmed or earned from a different/new activity too, should be easier to add new perks to the exotics too, instead of having to release exotic class item ver 2.0, 3.0 etc. for new options.
-instead of hoarding class items, costin 192 vault spaces, we can use 1 equipped and 1-2 backup in vault in case we accidentally dismantle them.
-dual destiny should grant a fully masterworked, artifice slot unlocked class item instead every weekly completion.
THE next exotic class item should be similar, but different, instead of combining 2 weaker exotic perks, it should modify the game/gameplay a little, yes i'm talking about artifact perks.
has a selection of artifact perks people want to come back and use from past artifacts. (there should be around 8 artifact perks combined/slots)
artifact perks could be random but come as a group of synergizing perks (like anti champion heavy ammo generator buffs, or all the sniper perks this season for examples.)
or again unlockable and choosable mod slots for custom uildcrafting.
maybe 1 selectable weaker exotic perk and 5 artifact mod slots instead of 8.
just and idea so we don't have to wait for some artifact perks to come back in a future season.

Bungie have already stated that they are working on a way to target specific rolls. Pretty sure that means we will be able to focus them.
