Exotic class items need to be overhauled..the changes in the twid don't even address the amount of space the class items are taking up in our vaults. 64 slots taken up potentially in our vault for just one class is not ideal. Just turn the perks into mods and have the class items act like aeons or have the class item be available on the crafting table and have us earn the mods through multiple completions of the exotic quest/opening chests on the pale heart with duplicate protection. This way we still farm for them but it becomes much more realistic that we will have an end goal of earning all the perks and saving vault space.
Your first completion of the exotic quest could earn you the class item and 2 mods, with subsequent completions just giving 2 more mods at random.
Tldr: have one class item for each class with earnable perks that are mods we can place into the class item saving space in our vaults
