Why exotic class items need duplicate protection, or ghost mod focus options
Exotic class items differ from regular exotic armor in that they have no stat rolls.
Therefor, the value of a duplicate exotic armor piece will always be higher, due to the (slight) possibility that it can drop with higher stats than your previous one.
You even have some control over how stats are distributed, via the use of ghost mods.
I’m personally not bothered by the slow acquisition of exotic class items.
I turn off my brain, put on some music, a podcast or watch youtube, and run in circles farming chests.
Gives me something to do in a game where I often find myself short on content
But I’d like to see our time be respected a bit more. And a knock-out system for perk combos on class items is a great way to do that.
Or add the ability to focus for one specific perk via ghost mods
Edit:
The last 5 exotic titan class items I farmed have been back to back duplicate drops (in both columns!)
So out of 64 possible combinations, the game drops 5 duplicates in succession.
I would venture a guess that most players do not enjoy this amount of wasted time.
Edit 2:
10+ marks, ALL duplicates combos in both columns.
And there are still a ton I don’t have.
Weighted perks much Bungo?
