Tribute is the worst game mode to ever be put into Destiny 2
Dear Bungie,
Please remove this game mode. The spawns don't make sense. The hand-holding encouragement is atrocious (as a primarily solo player). The deposit nodes shifting into the opposing team's territory is awful. No one wants to play this. Please either remove it completely from Iron Banner or let us choose which game mode to play.

I would be fine with it if it weren't ANOTHER game mode where kills give you zero on the scoreboard. Like -blam!- really bungie? Where are the crests coming from hmm? KILLS not counting in PLAYER VERSUS PLAYER is the dumbest -blam!- I've ever seen.

Gambit In PvP was the worst idea. It didn’t work the first time they rolled this out and it’s not gonna work now. Especially in a 6v6 with ability spams and supers. I’m so happy I got done with my title and the challenges early on this week so I wouldn’t have to do this garbage mode again

I vote by not participating. I did all my banner grinding last week. They can force whatever stupid game mode on the rest of you. I’m guilded and reset my rank twice. I’m good for the rest of the episode. Lol

I agree 1st iron banner since lightfall dropped for me and this game mode is a stinking pile of 💩.

It's such a mind-numbingly frustrating game mode, especially when even your team sometimes works against you. Oh, you have a bunch of crests? Let me run into you, knock you back out from cover, and into the firing squad waiting for you. Oh, you're getting shot? I'll look the other way/ aim at the ground and ignore the enemy. Or the random respawns map-wide, where you respawn and not 5 seconds later, half the enemy team spawns right behind you. It's insane that last week was the most fun I'd had in IB by switching things up and trying out Hunter, and this week I'd find more enjoyment in having all of my teeth pulled than I would if I played any more of this garbage game mode.

The problem with it is the same problem every pvp mode with objectives has: the community doesn't play objectives. That's it, plain and simple. The community treats every game mode with objectives like clash and just goes for kills. Reason being it's easy to pad your kd stats killing people playing the objective. What's ironic and sad: when the game mode is to just kill, people don't like playing those cause everyone has the same objective, so it's not as easy to pad stats lol. That's why those matches tend to go the timer distance, and people don't engage as much. Like I said: ironic and sad lol.

I've had matches where my entire team had a 2+ KD and we got mercy'ed. Destiny has always had the "everyone is special" philosophy, so designing an RNG based PVP match ensures anyone can win... I'm not saying I like it, just based on observations. It's frustrating to me just because week 1 was so fun, now I went into this week unknowing like... oh my. LOL

1 Replyforget solo players, the game mode is -blam!- cuz people are literally too stupid to understand how its played, I -blam!- you not, 9 out of 10 rounds, the people who won got lucky cuz everyone is treating this thing as TDM two matches back i won via mercy cuz everyone on the other team was running with full motes, literally the game mercy'd out as soon as we banked all of that its not fun, most people in pvp, expecially randoms, can barely understand how to play control (for those who dont know youre supposed to capture the glowing letters), why bungie keeps pressing on the objectives is beyond me cuz no one in this community understands the meaning of PTFO just make banner variations of "kill the other team first" like mayhem rumble and tdm, or eruption which is actually fun to play

Came into this week needing 11 more Iron Banner wins to get my first ever "gilded" title. I got 'em, but it wasn't much fun. Not sure how much to attribute to the game mode v. players being -blam!- and going for kills at all costs as opposed to playing the objective. I'm also a PvP scrub, so that was a factor as well. :D

I can’t handle it either.. every time I bust my -blam!- to get a frigging crest by killing three or more enemies some -blam!- who didn’t even help takes all of them. I find very hard to tolerate. It’s nearly as bad as playing solo in competitive

It's bad. It's so bad, I didn't even try to PTO. I just kept going invis and popping up behind the enemy emoting and let them kill me. I got more enjoyment from doing that
