Help sending unicode/alt-code text in game chat for accessibility
Some of my friends have dyslexia and others just struggle with the normal SCT style callouts for Salvation's Edge, so I was hoping to be able to use unicode/alt-code symbols to alleviate that issue. So rather than them having to figure out SCT, they would instead only have to see ■●▲.
I have confirmed that it is possible to send these symbols in chat, but the only way I've been able to do so is by copying the symbol from a website and pasting it in. Obviously that's not really viable mid-encounter, so I can't use that method for callouts.
I tried using a program called AutoHotkey to type the unicode out for me, which works properly and creates the appropriate symbols in external programs such as word or notepad. However, when I try it in-game, it only creates the "|" or "?" symbols. I thought maybe the game only supported specific unicode symbols, but when I copy and paste the symbol for the respective code in, it works properly.
I'm out of ideas at this point. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. This is something I would really like to be able to do before I start hosting more Sherpa runs.
