I had completed a flawless GM Nightfall and progressed halfway through each requirement for the Weapon Focus triumph to gild Deadeye. Later, I decided to play Iron Banner and was disappointed to learn that dying in Crucible resets progress for the triumph despite being different game modes. I don't recall it being connected in that way previously—I may be mistaken—but I'm of the opinion that it shouldn't be.
