Hi Bungie,
Can you look into the invisible characters as playing activities is becoming difficult with no weapon recticle sight visible.
I am also finding the sound of weapons is different.
This has been going since your recent updates.
Please address and by the way stop ripping off Warlocks in the nightfalls with progression.
Thanks

Bungie devs :) = I cannot see the issue 🤣 🤣

Edited by An Engram Full Of Bees: 6/30/2024 9:56:22 PMTrace rifles have it the worst. When they’re invisible, they also don’t have any sound or beam visuals. So it just feels like you’re shooting an air gun that deals damage if you can somehow get it to connect with enemies without seeing your beam 🤡

The bug doesn't help players so it's not a priority to patch.
-
Big problem. Cant hawk tuah on something you can't see
-
We more than a month into new dlc and we still have this absurd issue. Unreal
-
They already said that they were aware and working on it.
-
I am on console and was having the same problem as everyone else. Someone in the forums mentioned clearing the console cache, which I did and the problem has never come back. Hope this helps✌🏻!

I've started to avoid the tower as it seems to start after I've been there.

Edited by SHOCKWAVE 134: 7/2/2024 11:15:35 AMIt’s definitely not our internet connection. Bungie has a few issues that need fixing. Hopefully they get fixed in the near future.

Facts, also does nobody remember the invisible player bug really only started around witchqueen dlc, sure it happened very rarely before in 30th anniversary but I feel like I didn’t have the invisible player problem in season of the lost. Yes, warlocks still have the xp problem too rn. Dedicated servers would definitely smooth the issues out, but I feel like it’s a deeper issue in the coding somewhere as it’s been getting worse every season that involves big dlc like raids or dungeons.

The weapon sound changing is tied to to invisible model bug. They use a base gun model for every frame, including sound. Than the specific weapons unique model and sound is applied to the base form, to make each unique gun. So when the game doesn't know what to render, it simply gives you the base weapon sound. That's why all unrended weapons sound the same just at different rpm and cadence.

Edited by Kamehameha99: 6/30/2024 8:00:54 PMLast night it was so glitchy. I was invisible while at the tower so I restarted the game. Then when I got to the tower only my weapon was invisible along with many other players there. I also couldn’t preview any armors on my character last night for some reason?

Real. I’ve been testing my wifi and connection since the issue began and it hasn’t been me, it’s also only when I load into activities with others, in orbit I’m fine yet when I load into anything my models either take forever to load or just don’t

I'm just glad they actively acknowledge it in the twab (I'm never calling it twid). This is only the second time I think they ve actively acknowledged this issue even though it has been this bad two other times and off on for years.

Bungie's official response: "We don't care"
-
Amen. Graviton Lance just isn't the same as a cloud of purple that sounds like a normal pulse rifle. Also makes it harder to aim. Plenty of other weapons afflicted as well. I don't recall seeing this before TFS came out. BTW, I have 1G internet hard wired all over the house, and no issues with any other s/w.

The game feels more and more unstable with each DLC
-
I've had this the past on recently I always turn off my ps5 and restart it the always solves the issue. I know it's not the answer really but I hope it helps
-
Shoutout to mrbird33. I posted this issue in the help section. He told me to clear my cache; and that worked for me. Might help you guys out too.

FIX THIS BUNGIE. ITS BEEN HERE SINCE DAY ONE. WTF.
-
Excision is peak Destiny 2. Peak Bungie arrogance. They really thought 12 man anything was a good idea after that failed launch. This company is beyond a joke at this point. Your servers are trash cheapskates!!!!!
-
Recently played Gambit where some invaders were invisible. 🫥 Makes me a bit concerned about upcoming Iron Banner this week.
-
I’ve found that it happens most often after Excision. Apparently, something to do with in game memory usage. I’m no expert on the matter and I’m not 100% what it is but that’s what I’ve seen.

i don’t think it’s possible to fix. it’s very tedious to deal with. happened in the saga mission very frustrating
