Bingle Your difficulty is way overtuned. Aside from a select few builds, the base sandbox is horribly weakness crept.

  • Many comments on this subject seem to be by people wanting to have a fight over skill. Which then seems to be a competition about who can brag the most! I think the real point of all the complaints revolve around the fact that events are [u]more difficult than they used to be.[/u] It's not about whether it's "too" difficult, or "too" easy. It seems this had affected a lot of players. I did the Glassway Nightfall this week, and [i]no one[/i] can tell me that it was not a lot more difficult than last year. As far as some Bungie employee supposedly saying she wanted to get players out of their comfort zone, well, that's up to the players if they want to do that.

    • The game is so out of balance that the Team Lead announced her resignation yesterday. She was smart enough to bolt. She realized that they totally screwed up TFS. Too mechanic centric. No power fantasy. Can’t over level content. TFS = The Final Shite

      • Bungie will never understand that bullet sponge enemies aren't difficult, they are boring. Shooting the same enemy for 40 mins isn't overly challenging, it's boring.

            • This is Destiny. It’s hilarious how much they talk about “balance” but it’s never there. There are always mechanics and enemies that are completely out of band. Bested only by completely OP/broken niche builds that make a complete mockery of the content regardless of difficulty…all while leaving 95% of everything else in the game useless by comparison.

            • Not to mention that since Final Shape released, everything has some sort of mechanic to it. Even 2/3 Lost Sectors having the health gates! So not only are we constantly taking more damage. Not only are we having to work around encounters in an otherwise mindless activity. Not only are we having to deal with randomly being one shot but on top of it all: the very bugs that have plagued the game ever since that go unaddressed for too long unless they benefit US. Even power means nothing in the current sandbox if everything is limited anyway. Bungies idea of balance is making sure the sweats and streamers are happy while trying to play it as safe as possible which either upsets, causes cringe or both to happen.

            • So I've jus been doing some Pale Heart Ghost stuff and while I didn't have a problem with the damage in/out, I have had enough of the constant respawning & shield mechanics. I was doing the aerial cyst & it wasn't hard so much as it was irritating & tedious. It's like someone constantly tapping your shoulder while you're trying make a meal. It doesn't actually hinder the meal, but it is oppressively aggravating. The constant respawning of ads is jus so obnoxious. And it's not a difficulty issue. It's jus tedious. I honestly think I might be done. I do have the intention of popping in on Tuesday for the weekly story.. oh wait. There isn't one. And what is there is bugged. We couldn't even finish the first act.. Destiny - The Final Padding The game is a mile wide but barely an inch deep.

                  I mean.. you only need those builds for like 2 things lol.. which is gms and hard mode raid. But you can do any build at any time for most content lol I literally ran the captain america shield for GM incision lol without ursa.and it was with lfg randoms with no mic

                • I think we've hit the "glass cannon" era.. We've become so powerful that the enemies need to be buffed jus so we don't jus wipe an entire room in one weapon rotation. Meaning the margin for error is barely visible to the human eye. We have so many sources for buffing damage & restoring health that enemies need to hit hard & consistently to have any type of chance against us. We either steam roll them or they hammer us. Power creep has slowly engulfed the entire game. Numaruma was the big red flag for me. A patrol space that needed a build jus to get across the map to a flag to start a mission was a glaringly obvious flag. Pale Heart is an absolute cake walk in comparison. My biggest issue is the random death from "what was that? what even hit me?? from where?" and there's a Vandal 0.6 mile away cheering behind a tree round a corner that I can't even see.. or jus randomly flopping trying to mele something. I guess the game has so much maths to do with buffs & perks that it jus crapz out & throws a hissy fit 😆 Also.. too many immune phases & derpy mechanics 😉

                  • Honestly agreed. Bungie's "balance" needs a ton of work these days. Feels like crap when our weapons do basically no damage while enemies are able to literally one-shot you. Sometimes after Final Shape releases, they don't even need to shoot you. You can just die to literally nothing at all now.

                            • Uhhh, what? I can take any class, with any decent build, on any subclass, through anything shy of a GM or Master raid. If you mean “too difficult to bot walk into with double primaries and sub-50 stats” then yeah, the game will be very difficult.

                                  • It’s fine in higher level content (even if I think Salvation’s Edge loses a bit of replayability with the mechanical difficulty compared to raids like Crota, Vow, or Kings Fall) What kinda stinks is the changes to lower tier content like baseline strikes or patrols. Even for more experienced players it makes things more tedious and time consuming
