The level of NPC's complaining in this game is unbelievable.
Now gay couples are having a relationship crisis.
Bungie, could you please spare us of this endless wave of crap and for your own sake, stop being a wheel in the propaganda machine?!
I log in to this game to have epic fights and experiencing a glorious storyline, not having to listen to people complaining.. it's already happening in real life all around us and I'm sick of it.
We have some really powerful NPC's sitting in the tower doing nothing or using the H.E.L.M's radio channel to discuss their relationship issues, constantly complaining.
Why now put them in a cinematic from time to time? ...have Ikora cast a nova bomb and anihilate a miniboss at least. Make Saint14 punch something with those legendary fists of his, or give Osiris his ghost back and make him cast some warlock spells.
Personal wishlist:
1) Remove Nimbus from the game. We don't need a LGBTQ icon around.
Or at least make it so that we don't need to visit him or ever have to hear him speak.
2) Crow - constantly complaining... he is useless and utterly annoying. When he was Uldren Sov the story was much better because every guardian wanted to find him and exact revenge for the death of Cayde. He had a purpose.
3) Zavala fell a lot as a character due do Lance Reddick not being amongst us anymore and if that wasn't enough, you had to kill his ghost too and make him completely useless.
A powerful warrior, leader and masculine man... "castrated" and now a bureaucrat of the Vanguard.
You're gonna makin wear a rainbow flag too in the future?!
4) You knew we wanted Cayde back and you killed him again.
Are you trying to make us mourn for his absence or trying to piss us off?!
Cayde always was the funniest NPC in the game, yet you took him from us.
5) The "legendary" (as Ikora said) Micha-10 does nothing legendary... all she does is being constantly depressed.
Her quests could easily move to the ghost vendor. It has more sense for a ghost to help save his kin.
Bungie, more war, more glorious combat please.
Please abandon this path of weakness. It's not what the world needs.

Tbh I thought when cause first appeared it wasn’t actually a sales bait strategy but the fact they’ve just killed him off straight away ON TOP of the fact that there’s a deleted cutscene where we save out ghost as opposed to cause is just annoying
-
holy brainrot also for nimbus it's "they" not "he" :3
-
nah, he sucks.
-
It's "they" and... eh idk I like the "very obviously uses humour to cope with being thrust into a grand cosmic war and losing your mentor in the same day" type of character
-
nah, he sucks.

Nobody cares about the pronouns of a fictional character
-
D2 has been doing "propaganda" for years and you're still buying into it? Complaining about characters complaining and here you are.... complaining. Maybe stop buying DLCs then? Go play CoD or something that has more "war" content? Seems like you're more into it than you care to admit if you keep buying into it lol

The problem I have with it isn’t that there are depictions of same -blam!- couples and a non-binary character… it’s that it is so poorly done. The Saint/Osiris thing came out of the blue. A retcon done for the purpose of pandering. Nimbus is badly designed and feels a lot like, “how do you do, fellow kids.” If you took Nimbus but introduced them as a man, people would still be like “wtf is this?” Nimbus, Saint/Osiris are both afterthoughts done for the sake of earning brownie points from the LGBT+ community as well as their dollars. It’s insulting. It’s possible to have LGBT+ characters and relationships in a story without it being manipulation. Vivziepops animated series for example. They aren’t done to pander or influence, just entertain. That’s the best kind of representation. Don’t settle for the meager scraps Bungie is tossing.

Nimbus is a dogshit character. But how is he a lgbtq icon?
-
They were written to be non-binary, although they just did a shitty job with them.
-
What do you mean "written to be non binary"? Is them being non binary a significant aspect of their character development or something?
-
I’m pretty sure it was supposed to be. Nimbus is referred to with they/them pronouns throughout and Bungie made a good amount of statements regarding them. Unfortunately, Bungie is terrible and wrote a character that is neither compelling, nor an accurate representation of how the majority of enby people act.
-
None of that has anything to do with how the character behaves or is portrayed in game nor how their arc unfolds over time. Aside from pronouns you'd never know they were non binary. Poor writing aside. The non binary stuff has 0 influence on anything at all.
