we all definitely have more in common than not, and contact theory would go a long way in helping with this, but I do not tolerate bigots and -blam!-. the internet has brought us together in many ways but has also separated us in many other ways, making contact theory something more difficult to do

Like I said, everyone sticks to their own echo chambers so no one really has their views challenged at all, as a result we see each other as an enemy. I bet you my God roll bottom dollar that if you lock a right winger and a left winger in a room for eight hours and force them to interact, things might end more amicably more often than not
