In my opinion, all the love story aspects shown in game feel and sound like some shitty sonic tier fanfiction that just got jammed in there without much consideration. And yes, there's probably some lore entries that further define all this, much like everything else (character wise, at least) in the game but I'd have to give enough of a -blam!- to spend time to read it instead of being a genocidal murder machine. Update: I don't know why I put any effort into this post, this thread turned out [i]exactly[/i] as I assumed it would.
