Doesn’t matter if Osiris is straight or gay. He’s just annoying. So having him in a love story, whether it’s a straight or gay couple, is annoying.
Edit: It’s amusing that so many people automatically assume the OP and others in this thread are bigots. Aside from Osiris being an intolerable character. Their relationship is also annoying because it’s so whiny. Osiris could be a girl, and Saint a man, and the relationship would still be irritating to witness.

They've had multiple chances to reign in Osiris and actually make him a developed character, but they fail to keep any consistency relating to what happens to him emotionally. He always goes back to being an arrogant -blam!- by the beginning of the next storyline involving him. When being exactly that got his boyfriend trapped in a murder simulation, got his ghost killed, and almost got himself killed during Lightfall multiple times. Yet he's supposed to be this centuries old radical thinker and super human intellect capable of out smarting the Vex and reverse engineering their tech to work for him with little to no consequences? Because he doesn't act like someone capable of any of that. This guy was a former Vanguard Commander, and he doesn't even seem capable of controlling himself half the time. Let alone a massive army of super humans in defending the last of humanity from existential threats.

What's worse is in the Lightfall campaign he screamed at us for not being able to condition ourselves to strand and yet here we are an expansion later and he still has no power. Zavala took what?? 1/4 of a storyline to learn Stasis after losing his ghost and the light?

YOU are protecting your insecurities onto someone else's statement and completely changing and lying about what they said to justify you getting all huffy. Even if he HAD said Saint is an intolerable D-Bag, that wouldn't make him a bigot. Next time you're going through the dictionary for new buzzwords to use, maybe *also* read the definition so you can use it correctly. 🤡

So what? Why can’t people be bigots if they want? Unless I’m mistaken, everyone is entitled to their opinion. There are people who are for LBGTQ and people who are against. I don’t care either way. But, what is certain is that I’m not going to tell others what to believe or what is right or wrong, on the topic at hand. Regardless of which side anyone takes on the present debate. The most closed minded position that’s being taken by many is the “I’m right and therefore you are wrong.” I’ll point out. The OP simply says Osiris and Saint’s relationship is annoying and irritating. He never includes the phrase “because they are gay”. Everyone else is making it about orientation because that’s what they want to see. The vagueness can be intentional forum bait, but everyone else gravitating to orientation as the immediate cause is revealing.

But I also haven't perused the comments since like 3 hours ago. I'm actually in the camp of thinking the implementation of the relationship was poorly done and pandering. But I also think that's par for the course. The whole story has been super pandering since d2 started. Maybe some people are doing that and are in the wrong, yes. But you're lumping everyone together right now. Secondly, the thing that's wrong with being a bigot is that they're spreading that -blam!- on the forum. They're being very hateful and telling people that they're delusional, mentally ill, and don't exist. That's not stating an opinion, that's outright demeaning and insulting people and is explicitly against the Code of Conduct. Which you already know. You're just being coy because for some reason you must find it amusing when people speak down to you like you're a child that doesn't understand anything.

No. You didn’t break it. I’m presently drafting a motion for summary judgment or in the alternative adjudication. So I’m doing this on my phone. Reading and writing about something else while drafting a brief helps to avoid tunnel vision with arguments. Yes. I am lumping everyone together. That doesn’t make what I say any less true. I’m certainly not going to go name by name. When this is a diversion for me. I’m not being coy. But since we are focusing on bigots. Right now. People who are anti-gay are being casted as bigots. Not all of these anti-gay people are doing anything more than taking their stance. They aren’t all trying to incite violence or harassing others as you suggest. I would also point out that the pro-LGBTQ people are also denigrating the anti-LGBTQ people. It insults go both ways.

How someone chooses to live their life is nothing to do with anyone else. Attacking a person for how they choose to live their life is attacking their freedom to choose. It's attacking freedom itself. There is no moral equivalence between pro freedom and anti freedom people. People can believe whatever they like, once they start using that personal belief to attack other people's free life choices, they cross a line. That is why there is no equivalence between the pro freedom and anti freedom in this debate.

Comments removed because they breach the code of conduct. A lot of people aren't assuming OP and others are bigots, their comments are in response to other comments that no longer exist.

I wholeheartedly agree with him. The Osiris and Saint relationship is akin to a low rent Shakespearean tragedy. I’m disinterested in Shakespeare, and I found Romeo and Juliet to be loathsome. For the same reasons that I’m averse to Shakespeare, I find the Osiris and Saint relationship to be a pain point in the story. However, numerous people are replying to the OP and saying that he’s a closed minded Neanderthal, in the name of social justice. This is ironically amusing. Accusing someone of being a bigot because he finds a relationship annoying. Without actually giving the guy enough “justice” to find out why he actually thinks the relationship is annoying. No where in the OP’s statements do I read anything to the effect of “because they are gay.” Could the OP be anti-gay? Yes, this possibility exists. But, it is a fact that he doesn’t say it. At least in his topic and opening statement. If he says it elsewhere, then he’s fair game, but unless he does somewhere, people attacking him in the name of social justice now, are the closed minded individuals.
