They have no chemistry, so why tf are the pushing it so hard. They would never be a couple. I’m not against gays, my uncle is gay and very flamboyant and I love him to death. But why do we need to kill the writing to push the agenda? It’s just so stupid. Bungie pushes their wokeness, and in turn makes the story bad due to the lack of chemistry or whatnot. But oh no, you can’t say it’s a bad addition to the story, or else everyone will call you a bigot and say you don’t like it because they’re gays. That’s just not the case.
Word of advice Bungie: adding more LGBTQ+ characters/relationships doesn’t equate to good writing, and trying to shove your agenda down our throats is a bad idea.

Right on

Yeah there’s no chemistry AT ALL! Why didn’t we see baby saint and Osiris meet and become friends first and have an awkward college phase so I could then believe in the chemistry of a wizard and exo falling in love??? WHERE’S my chemistry??? Get real.

Well said

Agreed.

I just find it interesting that the only time we get to hear of anything relationship-related that isn't parent/child, it's firmly in the Alphabet's Camp 9 times out of 10 and is always a side mention if not part of the main storyline for some reason. Zavala's issues with his dead wife and Crow having to deal with Amanda blowing him off before exploding herself covers the majority of "not Alphabet" relationships shown in game. Kinda weird if you ask me.
-
Kinda hard to even call the relationship gay when its a flesh and blood man... and a robot.

Oh Stepmotherboard!!!

no one would get mad at you for expressing that you think the writing/story telling is bad, or even that this relationship feels forced. it is more of your second paragraph that lets people know how you really feel. nothing is being shoved down your throat.
-
Then why not add a skip button ONLY for these scenes?
-
Why not ignore it and do something else while it plays on mute? It isn’t hard to avoid a cut scene.
-
I'm not afraid to exercise my freedom of speech. The forced agenda is nauseating, disgusting, and repulsive, and the vast majority feels the same.
-
what is this forced agenda exactly?
-
You cant skip the scene.
-
It doesn’t force you to pay attention. And what is the agenda?

Edited by SirEman80: 6/28/2024 5:26:28 PMWhat did that cutscene add to the PLOT of the season or the game? Nothing. It wasted resources that could be applied to more plot development. I think the plot of Saint doubting his ‘realness’ or existence based on returning from the infinite forest which may or may not allow him to be controlled by whatever the Conductor is doing IS fairly interesting. People keep bringing up how saturated Destiny relationship dynamics are with LGBTQ themes… but they never ask why player really only ever complain about the Saint-Osiris stuff. I also think (after playing Final Fantasy 16 and it’s focus on an actual brother relationship) that Destiny missed the mark when they retconned this to be a gay romance instead of a positive brother/family relationship.
-
It gets a passing mention at best. It hasn't been anything even resembling a main plot point since the Nez Tea thing. If you think that the occasional mention of two old gay men is Bungie "forcing things down your throat" you have bigger issues.

Nimbus is non-binary and has painted fingernails. I mean, come on.

Edited by Milk: 6/26/2024 3:49:23 PM
Nimbus is non-binary and has painted fingernails. I mean, come on.
Nimbus being non binary is a non factor in the story. It's never brought up in any significant way and it has little bearing on the story. What exactly is your point here sweetie?

That mental illness acceptance agenda shouldn't be forced on us.

Edited by stinkych33Ze: 6/26/2024 9:20:01 PMMy point is that we don’t need to see LGBTQ+ characters at every turn. It’s a space magic FPS MMO and putting their employees gender “she/her, they/them” on their vidocs or making the only relationships in the game gay/lesbian won’t change anything, and really makes me feel like they’re more concerned about how LGBTQ+ people are treated then LGBTQ+ people are themselves. It’s unnecessary and unrealistic, as there’s like two romances and one is gay, which is statistically not accurate, and just bad writing in order to hop on the woke train.
My point is that we don’t need to see LGBTQ+ characters at every turn.
They aren't at every turn. There are like, six of them total and of those six only Saint and Osiris have been particularly noteworthy.
It’s a space magic FPS MMO
Okay?
and putting their employees gender “she/her, they/them” on their vidocs

or making the only relationships in the game gay/lesbian
Zavala and his wife are straight. Clovis Bray and Clovis Bray II are both straight. One of the things that haunts Calus to this day is the decay of his relationship with his wife. Crow and Amanda has a budding romance before she learned that he was Uldren. What do you mean only gay relationships exist in game .
won’t change anything, and really makes me feel like they’re more concerned about how LGBTQ+ people are treated then LGBTQ+ people are themselves.
Honey, having gay people in a fictional world is normal and doesn't denote that one cares excessively about LGBTQIA+ people any more than the next person.
It’s unnecessary and unrealistic
What's unrealistic about gay people existing?
as there’s like two romances and one is gay, which is statistically not accurate, and just bad writing in order to hop on the woke train.
That's not how statistics work. Like at all.
