I tried explaining this to my girlfriend last night.
"Right this guy here, that's Osiris. He's a very annoying human and he's in love with this guy here. This is Saint 14, he's an exo. That's a kind of robot. But he's supposed to be the greatest Titan ever. He literally headbutted a Fallen Kell to death."
"Wait. So the man is in love with a robot that likes to headbutt people to death ??"
"Yup, and that's not all. The robot made a cup of tea out of a disciple of the Witness to wake his boyfriend up."
"Right, that's the big guy with the wavy arms you killed a couple of weeks ago. The robot made a cup of tea out of a person ??"
"Yup, well not a person. A baddie basically."
"Yeah, that's messed up. So anyway, why is the bloke with the bucket on his head whinging away about something."
"Yeah, that's Saint. He's been abducted by someone called the Conductor and he now apparently thinks he is a copy of his former self"
"So basically we have a man in love with a machine who was woken up by a cup of tea made by the machine and now the robot thinks he is a copy of himself ??, and now they are having a bit of an emotional moment ??"
"Yeah, that's basically it"
"So how do they do it ??"
"Do what ??"
"You know, bonking."
"I dunno, not really covered in the game. Maybe he's got some kind of USB port or something."

How Exo's "bonk", does not apply to Saint and Osiris only. Exos are made to simulate being human as much as possible, they eat, they piss, they -blam!-, and yes, they have genitals.
