Can we get men’s mental health awareness month back
-
Its one big bromance that took a twisted turn in the retcon department. Even if they were gay, there is no real love connection between them. Its like taking Masterchief and turning him gay because him Sgt Johnson had a good bromance and brothers in arms relationship.

Personally I don’t really feel like I relate to the content anymore. It be nice to not be alienated and abandoned by the companies we funded and supported into the AAA spectrum. Imagine Master Chief with garbage alienating content…. Would have crash and burned. -
Didn't pay no mind to it before but this time it's just too much. We don't need Osiris' and Saints' relationship to take over for a moment in the story! They don't even have the chemistry causing the whole thing to feel forced. Before claiming the "bigot" thing: Hi! Hello! Non-Binary here who typically doesn't give one towards any gay stuff. But when the same two characters in the same game are put front and center multiple times for the sake of it, then it grows tiring. Didn't grow tired of this until the cutscene last week. We get it Bungie! These two are in love and plan to go beyond the system together! We get it! It's like whenever they are in a story, it's put through a stress test that shouldn't exist.
-
For real, this stuff is not for the masses. We are aware of 'the message'. We've heard more than enough.
-
Not going to happen, for the same reason Nimbus was introduced, Bungo would rather fill their diversity quotas than write compelling stories.
-
People will think you’re being bigoted but the fact of the matter is it’s shoved in your face so much it makes it incredibly cringe. No other relationship in the long history of the game has been thrown at you so much. What people don’t understand is others really don’t care how you live. It’s your right to do what you want. It’s when it’s forced upon you repeatedly that people start getting upset. They’re their own worst enemy.

Edited by Yellowgate: 6/26/2024 1:14:30 PMI tried explaining this to my girlfriend last night. "Right this guy here, that's Osiris. He's a very annoying human and he's in love with this guy here. This is Saint 14, he's an exo. That's a kind of robot. But he's supposed to be the greatest Titan ever. He literally headbutted a Fallen Kell to death." "Wait. So the man is in love with a robot that likes to headbutt people to death ??" "Yup, and that's not all. The robot made a cup of tea out of a disciple of the Witness to wake his boyfriend up." "Right, that's the big guy with the wavy arms you killed a couple of weeks ago. The robot made a cup of tea out of a person ??" "Yup, well not a person. A baddie basically." "Yeah, that's messed up. So anyway, why is the bloke with the bucket on his head whinging away about something." "Yeah, that's Saint. He's been abducted by someone called the Conductor and he now apparently thinks he is a copy of his former self" "So basically we have a man in love with a machine who was woken up by a cup of tea made by the machine and now the robot thinks he is a copy of himself ??, and now they are having a bit of an emotional moment ??" "Yeah, that's basically it" "So how do they do it ??" "Do what ??" "You know, bonking." "I dunno, not really covered in the game. Maybe he's got some kind of USB port or something." "Yeah, that's weird. That's like the Witcher quest where Geralt gets high on a plant and ends up taking to his horse." "Yeah, come to think of it it is stupid. I'm off upstairs to play Red Dead 2. I have a hankering to feed some suffragetes to the alligators." "That's messed up. But to be fair it makes more sense than the robot and his weird lover."

It feels so fake and forced, like two straight duds pretending so they can get government benefits. Just write it so it feels more natural.
-
Destiny does not need romantic angles at all. It comes off as entirely forced and silly.
-
Personally, I don’t care…I skip any scene with Osiris in it. His character is annoying as hell. Self righteous to the point of me wanting to turn our god killing power on him. His dialogue is woeful. They should’ve had Savathun kill him off permanently. My clan all know I hate Osiris as a whole because I voice my hatred of the feathered f****r everytime he speaks. All he does is whine that what everyone else is doing ain’t good enough but he f**ks up more than anyone…and last I checked, he’s pretty useless as successful planners go.
-
Honestly I’m gay and I could care less about their relationship, they have no chemistry at all
-
It's pride month, that's why they are pushing this narrative so hard. Also, I couldn't agree more.
-
Weren't Saint 14 and Osiris considered brother in arms before the whole relationship was retconned into a romance? Look, I'm gay and I don't really care. My only issue with it is that it feels forced and poorly written. Also, both characters are annoying as hell. I'm more interested in Drifter and Eris, but that's just my take.

It's a good thing this topic is trending. Now everyone can see just how many toxic bigots live on Destiny. The amount of -blam!-/transphobia is just insane. So many peeps up in arms because Will Robinson's banging his robot. Everyone just loves -blam!- fanfiction right up until it stops being fanfiction?
-
Na I like it.

Edited by Hawk_Man!: 6/27/2024 2:18:08 AMThey were friends even in the Devils ruin quest line and even insulted each other. Seems like a shoehorn and retcon if I ever saw one. My dad is gay, I'm married and trust my relationships don't sound the way these lines have been written unless you need to change them to fit a political narrative.
-
What I have issues with is that it’s a retcon. Saint was an advocate of Osiris when Osiris and the Speaker had differences of opinion about what the Traveler was, what were its true intentions for humanity and what it wanted from us. There was a comic about it. Nothing in the comic about them being a couple or anything that would lead to it. It was sprung at us out of the blue and feels an awful lot like pandering. There are better depictions of same -blam!- relationships in animated series; Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel. Not great… just better.
-
I agree I like both the characters , I don’t care that they have relationship of any kind. I do feel like this was forced re writing

Edited by GioC3ntr1c: 6/27/2024 10:24:22 PMJust commenting to let you know you aren’t bigoted for having this opinion. Anyone telling you so is outing themselves for not putting enough thought about the quality of representation provided. Not all representation is equal.

JAJAJAJA I AM WITH YOU BRO, DESTINY BECOME IN A PRO -blam!- GAME I ALWAYS MUTE THE TV WHEN THE START TALKING ABOUT IS GAY RELATIONSHIP
-
Who cares bro… let it go man …
-
People are gay. Get over it. Bungie beats everything like a dead horse. Why does this instance above others bother you?
-
I have to agree with this post.

A video game that features a future timeline, a Robot race, space travel, aliens, time travelling robots, mystical super human powers, actual gods but you draw the line at a couple of gay guys. 🙄 Grow up. Not everything is made to cater to your bigotry.
