And yes, there's probably some lore entries that further define all this, much like everything else (character wise, at least) in the game but I'd have to give enough of a -blam!- to spend time to read it instead of being a genocidal murder machine. Update: I don't know why I put any effort into this post, this thread turned out [i]exactly[/i] as I assumed it would.

Bungie, could you please spare us of this endless wave of crap and for your own sake, stop being a wheel in the propaganda machine?! I log in to this game to have epic fights and experiencing a glorious storyline, not having to listen to people complaining.. it's already happening in real life all around us and I'm sick of it. We have some really powerful NPC's sitting in the tower doing nothing or using the H.E.L.M's radio channel to discuss their relationship issues, constantly complaining. Why now put them in a cinematic from time to time? ...have Ikora cast a nova bomb and anihilate a miniboss at least. Make Saint14 punch something with those legendary fists of his, or give Osiris his ghost back and make him cast some warlock spells. Personal wishlist: 1) Remove Nimbus from the game. We don't need a LGBTQ icon around. Or at least make it so that we don't need to visit him or ever have to hear him speak. 2) Crow - constantly complaining... he is useless and utterly annoying. When he was Uldren Sov the story was much better because every guardian wanted to find him and exact revenge for the death of Cayde. He had a purpose. 3) Zavala fell a lot as a character due do Lance Reddick not being amongst us anymore and if that wasn't enough, you had to kill his ghost too and make him completely useless. A powerful warrior, leader and masculine man... "castrated" and now a bureaucrat of the Vanguard. You're gonna makin wear a rainbow flag too in the future?! 4) You knew we wanted Cayde back and you killed him again. Are you trying to make us mourn for his absence or trying to piss us off?! Cayde always was the funniest NPC in the game, yet you took him from us. 5) The "legendary" (as Ikora said) Micha-10 does nothing legendary... all she does is being constantly depressed. Her quests could easily move to the ghost vendor. It has more sense for a ghost to help save his kin. Bungie, more war, more glorious combat please. Please abandon this path of weakness. It's not what the world needs.

I don’t hate it. I think the biggest thing that made me hesitate at first was now in early d1 lore they were brothers. I do think that the bigger issue is that their story just isn’t that interesting anymore and that there aren’t any other in game relationships that are canon.

It's funny. By pushing their agenda they are actually being less tolerant than the people they are trying to "sway", and ironically the heavy handed approach they are using makes even a supporter of gay rights like myself irritated. Not to mention it's a completely unbelievable dynamic. Saint is an exo, for one. He is also quite dumb, while Osiris is supposedly one of the most intelligent Warlocks that ever existed. Absolutely nothing about that relationship is believable, and it feels like they made Saint gay as an afterthought, and that does absolutely nothing to help" change people's hearts and minds" . I can only conclude that the people in charge of the story in Destiny just aren't very smart and have no clue about human behavior.
