Bungie you are FAILING your so-called "mental health"/inclusivity business model.
You claim to be inclusive and open to all regardless of skin color/heritage/mental capacity or illness, yet you continue to strive to make -blam!- harder and exclude solo players who some cannot do the Dual Destiny mission due to their anxiety, disabilities, etc. LFG is NOT viable when half the time you will fail due to toxic players kicking you, judging you, screaming at you, and in general NOT BEING GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM. You cannot sit here and act as if you do so much good if you lie and hide that you lock content behind multiplayer requirements, and of course the Bungie meat sleeves will defend you, because they 'definitely' don't just have a group/clan to call upon, much less your biggest simps; the streamers. Not all, of course, but you cannot sit and ignore that this was a SH!T decision that proves how -blam!- backwards your so called "community focus" model is. QUIT. IGNORING. US.

Destiny and Bungie have always discriminated against people with real mental issues. They only pretend to care about people with light anxiety who would rather stay home and play videogames than go to school or work. Also, in Destiny's social spaces, people are discriminated against based on their light level and how often they are prepared to open their wallets.

1 ReplyI agree. Now we get the fan boys who just don't get why many players only play solo. I don't need to make any excuses and I don't listen the, "You just have to find someone. How hard can it be?" You just need to understand that I play solo, for whatever reason and if Bungle wants solo player's money they need to grow up and offer viable alternatives for them. Or deal with a smaller player base and less cash flow.

But after what happened with the toxic ppl I was with that time, it put me right back in my shell. I will never do coop focus ever again. Not even dual destiny. Heck, not even for any dungeon. Rather find any way I can solo a dungeon than deal with toxic ppl affecting my health. I love the look of dungeons and tbh I'd do them for zero or powerful rewards if they did a lower difficulty and put pinnacle on higher

I have personally helped 3 anxiety ridden people get through this quest. It's honestly been a great experience for them. Not all lfg is terrible. Look for chill willing to teach in the posts. Also bungie isn't ignoring anything. Some elements of the game are multi-player exclusive. This is a multi-player game. Not a solo game. It's honestly been 3 weeks and I still see this same post from social anxiety suffers and solo players. Bungie has not said anything about it and I really don't think they will. Because the truth is you run the mission once and you can solo farm class items in pale heart on all characters.

If you cant find a group in LFG that works for you make your own. Then you get to make the party you want to be in.

You’re in a clan of nearly 100 guardians. Use this effort into finding one of them to run it with. Once complete you can farm completely solo for as long as you want on the pale heart.

Another dumb post. If I am blind, then please explain how Bungie has ever catered to me. If I'm missing both my hands, how did Bungie cater to me? If I am just plain stupid and can't figure stuff out, then how did Bungie cater to me? The list continues. Being good at video games is NOT a fundamental right. It's a privilege to even play. Stop confusing fundamental rights and needs like housing, healthcare, and food with something stupid like getting an item in a video game. STOP MAKING DIFFICULTY COMPLAINTS ABOUT INCLUSIVITY. In most sports, it's advantageous to be tall. Does that mean that the people who invented sports discriminated against those who are short or fat or slow? Seriously, by your logic, EVERYTHING can be considered "discriminatory" if someone is better at it than you. So. Dumb.

Your mental health is your responsibility. Turn the game off, play Pac-Man or Tetris, anything. Bungie is a game developer who creates a product sold for the intention of making money. They are not your friends, not your therapist, not your parents. They can't make you play or stop you from playing. If anything about a videogame makes you post something like this, indirectly putting your parents on blast, you need to take control of yourself.

Bungie can try to make the game as accessible as possible, but not at the cost of quality and by disregarding the core design directions, which include multiplayer and teamplay. If game developers wanted to make everything accessible to everyone, they wouldnt be game developers, because some people are even incapable of pressing a button. Your disorders, disabilities, social phobias, low stress resistance and what not are not Bungie‘s responsibility. Dual Destiny as well as raids, which mostly exclude solo players as well, are good content and trying to adapt them to your personal needs would ruin them. Play something else.

I'm enjoying the game so far, but on the other hand, I'm getting tired of modes that associate with carry services. It's gone too far in my opinion.
