Do away with battlegrounds
The battlegrounds were only fun for a short time. But the ratio at which we get a vanguard Playlist actual strike is slim to none. I say bring back some of the older strikes from the game. Xol the worm god for example. Bring more variety. I'm at the point now where I leave if it is a battlegrounds.

I really wonder if bungie just meant to keep them in because they don’t have any other strike ideas TFS only got one new strike and echoes sadly got one revamped strike which has left a very heavy sour taste in my mouth I really don’t get why we can’t actually get a new strike each piece of content The last time we even actually had that was season 13 And now bungie thinks battlegrounds will be a way for players to somehow enjoy them when all they are really is just pieces of content with no context whatsoever 🙄

I also think they are tedious and boring. Honestly if they’re going to be in the game just put them in their own separate playlist. Would love to just have the old strike playlist back.

Personally I'd like Bungie to add back ALL of the old strikes that were removed ( tbf some actually did get added back with the final shape). But for me personally I don't mind having the heist battleground activities still be accessible in the vanguard playlist. But it would be nice if they had their own separate playlist. Also a message for whoever at Bungie was in charge of adding the heist battleground activities to the vanguard playlist, YOU FORGOT TO REMOVE THE CHAMPIONS! How you forgot to rework these missions to fit the vanguard strike system I do not understand (unless you were overworked and it was an honest mistake then I'd understand). But for real, REWORK THE MISSIONS AND REMOVE THE CHAMPIONS! SMH...

Either remove the Battlegrounds or make a new playlist with only battlegrounds. Let's be honest, no one would really play that playlist so, yea, just remove them.

I always felt battlegrounds r more like strikes reguardless. And technically it's no longer strikes it's ops collective. And I'd rather leave when it's scarlet keep or a old one. Id leave xol

6 RepliesYou'll NEVER see the old strikes come back, unless they get reworked like the Earth strikes did. Why? Because you can complete them in less than 10 minutes. Bungie doesn't like that.

I was running a test to see how many strikes vs battlegrounds I could get in the vanguard playlist and insane hours I have yet to see an actual strike. I think that they should remove the word strike from it if it is not going to have any strikes and just put Battleground. Not any better but it's not false advertising then. lol.

I think just move the BGs into their own separate node in the Vanguard page. Have them give better reward rates than basic playlist Strikes, maybe give them a rotator so 1 is available each day on rotation. problem solved, people can still access them if they want but they aren't forced down people's throats leaving to quitting the second the the match launches.

I didn't care about this until earlier today when I was trying to do some quick strikes before downtime so I could get enough coins to buy what I wanted from Xur. I gave up after getting 5 battlegrounds in a row when I could have done 8-10 strikes in the same amount of time it takes to do those 5. Ended up leaving the game in each bg, just to be sent into a different one.

Just make a battleground playlist. Put a pinnacle on it and call it a day.

Is it worth mentioning that the biggest problem is adding battlegrounds to nightfall strikes? I think that it would be logical to divide battlegrounds and strikes into two playlists, then the developers would probably understand how unpopular battlegrounds are (they are not interested in reviews of real people, but only statistics in numbers).
