Dual Destiny is not the way to go
I get it. You want to create missions to include more people. But come on Bungie. My verbally impaired friend can't do the mission due to the fact, HE CANNOT SPEAK.
I should not have to tell a corporation let alone bungie, that they needed to think this to be open to everyone. I should not be needing to login to his account and get it done with someone else other than him.
It takes away from my friend able to experience it. Text chat on console makes it much more difficult

What about the raids ? Seriously, why don't i see any of you complaining about not being able to play the raids ? There are why more raids than co-op missions, this dlc even came with one. Ok let's be serious here, You guys don't have anything against this mission being a thing nor if more were to be made. What you take issue in is the reward. So instead of the titles being, don't make content for people who plays with others in a multiplayer game, it should just be, don't put items that i want in missions that requires people. This mission is great, why should i have to lose out on more of these activities because you guys won't talk to others ? When you phrase it in the ways that you guys do, you only sound so selfish and entitled. So don't be so surprised when you get people going against you. Had you guys not come out so aggressive and making demands and throwing out ridicules accusations about how Bungie is Abelists. You only paint a target on yourselves. Also some of you don't even give an example on how to get it solo, and those to who, give the most ridicules ways of getting it, like Guaranteed from Overthrow chests and from the lost sector chests. Seriously, these are not even on the same level. Why should we have to go through a whole quest line and complete a mission to get it, and all you have to do is just to open a chest ? How about needing to plant a seed in all of the hands on all of the regions in Pale heart and completing a solo flawless master lost sector ? That sounds more fair then the ways you guys are giving.

7 RepliesEdited by TheHopeWithin: 6/25/2024 1:38:20 PMIt’s interesting how as soon as the “I’m a solo player and I don’t like to player with people, hand me this now I paid you money” argument fell completely flat That’s when the disability push surged, and suddenly, miraculously, there’s all these people with a “friend” who’s deaf, or who has a speech impediment. Disabilities are a very real thing that organizations and companies need to work hard within reason to ensure there’s tools in place to help, nobody here in their right mind would disagree with that. That being said, that’s more a steam, Sony, Microsoft issue, it’s the platform not the game. Realistically for the percentage of guardians who have those particular disabilities, this isn’t a new struggle for them and they’d already have tools and strategy’s in place to help them in end game, like screen sharing on a ps5 or streaming, text chat with a keyboard (yes you can have a keyboard strictly for text chat hooked up on a ps5, I do it all the time), etc… I’ve seen some people suggest a pinging system and I agree destiny should have some way to ping in game like apex and others. But that doesn’t mean the design of dual destiny as a mission is bad. This mission was incredibly creative and very well done. What’s actually happening is one of the lowest sleaziest “strategies” I’ve ever seen to try and “win” an argument in the community, where a lot of solo players who’ve decided they can’t win their actual argument have started hiding behind and weaponizing OTHER people’s disabilities for THEIR own advantage….and that’s beyond vile.

There should be more handicap parking spaces because we don’t have enough that sit empty. Videogames need to accommodate the blind. Religious institutions must open their doors to people who have differing beliefs. Ethnic Supremacy groups must accept other ethnicities into their membership.

There are so many other ways to do the mission without text chat if they can't speak. A little thought into it, and you can either find or come up with your own way of doing it. The last clock is really the only part that can't be done easily with text chat. Also, not everything in life is going to be fair. I'm not saying that to sound mean or anything, but it's the truth. Either people weren't taught that growing up or the just forgot it for some reason.

If you guys have the same consoles, your friend might be able to screen share. I think a pc can do this too as I had screen shared my screen with another person because we got stuck on a tricky parts during the first few days of Dual Destiny release and there weren’t enough infos to solve the puzzles yet at that time. It really helped alot and it’s faster than text chat.

You do know there is a text chat right? Yeah it’s cumbersome to use depending on what you’re playing on, but it exists. It’s how my deaf clan mate communicates to us when he needs to.

It’s a super fun mission too. Sorry for your friend. Having someone else log in with his account and do it once seems the best way to go, then they can try to farm chests in overthrow.

Text chat on console is the way to go it would seem, you don’t have to make many callouts besides numbers and specific symbols.

You don't have to talk to do the mission. You can text, or have your friend share his screen so you can see it.
