PSA: Missing Encryption bits for Kovostov? Info I learned, stuff to try....
3 Cysts are known to be buggy,
Sword Dance
Searing Light
Smothering Darkness
I spent 5 days with a friend trying to work out what piles he missed. The first step is checking the triumph. IF you're not at 6/6 then some rubble/debris never spawned for you.
Knowing that information, is great help because then you should only grind those Cysts.
The candidates for my friend were Searing Light, that we found 2 days ago... then Slayer and Smothering Darkness.
On our 3rd clear of Smothering Darkness tonight we found his last bit.
This is what I was doing, I don't know if it matters...
Make the person missing bits fireteam lead, have them touch all the birds along the way and throughout the encounter. Have them start and activate the encounter by entering the zone 1st.
Upon killing the boss ONLY the person missing bits should heal the ghost AFTER the Voice Over dialog ends.
Whatever character they're doing it on should have 6 ghosts found in their Alone in the Dark quest chain. If the player was switching characters, they should do the same across all 3 characters, so every Cyst is officially unlocked.
Then repeat the ones you're missing without using the Alone in the Dark quest chain. Ideally solo, but if in a fireteam let the player missing bits do everything and lead, you're just there to help kill stuff... don't touch birbs, don't start the encounter, don't heal the ghosts.
It took us 5 days grinding every night for hrs, but he finally got the missing bits.

1 ReplyI'm missing a bit, did them all solo, some rubble mounds I inspected on my first run through (solo). I may have deleted my first one that dropped, thinking it was garbage because of the white background on the icon when I was cleaning up inventory after running through story and still having stuff in inventory from last season that needed deleting. But, I'm not sure...

Edited by VCALMLIKEABOMBV: 6/23/2024 5:30:07 PMI was missing the bits in Cysts as well. I did them all solo and got the missing bits. Luckily I had the meatball mote and had no problem after cysts, and now have the exotic khovostlv. It's such a good gun. Worth the grind.
