Ive Killed every boss in Overthrow multiple times, including the Meatball, who ive killed 3 times today, and I am still stuck on 15 motes of light
Title says it all, I dint know what to do. Im not chacking my boss kills with the triumph, I know its bugged, but Ive killed all the bosses multiple times over the past 4 days and I am still stuck on 15

If you haven’t acquired all of the Motes of Light yet, make sure you’ve collected and placed all Visions of the Traveler and defeated all Overthrow bosses in each area. If you’re only missing the defeat of the Taken Servitor boss, we suggest you try to eliminate it a couple times, making sure to return to Orbit between attempts. Please note, we’re currently addressing an issue where the triumphs tracking the defeat of Overthrow bosses are not working as intended. Therefore, please don’t rely on these Triumphs as confirmation of your successful defeat of all unique Overthrow bosses.

1 ReplyI’ve got the legendary Khvostov. I have all the travelers statues placed and I’ve beaten every boss multiple times but I’ve got 16 mote of light and the chest says I’m missing something. This is getting ridiculous to say the least. Your program is not reading bosses correctly, fix it so we can all accurately see what boss is missing. This or open the exotic chest to all who show they have completed the 9 bosses and all statues. It’s not rocket science, do the right thing. Chasing one boss in one area over and over is crazy.

I killed him twice in a row like a hour ago and no motes dropped wtf??? Between this and locking the very hyped class exotics behind a damn must have fireteam mission has literally killed the fun I was having. So much for spending 90$ on a game wish I could get a refund!

Did you kill all three light infused hive in the landing? What about the big tormentor in the impass?

13 RepliesI have a similar but not identical issue. I'm at 16/17 motes. I have all of them from cysts. My triumph for tracking which bosses I've killed seems to be bugged, as it says I've killed them all. I have since went back and rekilled all 3 in the impasse and blooming. I absolutely cannot get the arc wizard to spawn in the landing. I've done probably 11 overthrows there now and no luck. I've been told it's a rotation and to just stay and kill them all in one instance, but this isn't working for me either. I just get the void knight spammed at me on repeat with occasional appearances by the solar acolyte. This is growing increasingly tiresome and frustrating. Would love some clarity on this obnoxious malfunctioning pursuit.

1 Replysame problem, support told me there was nothing they can do. Which is bullshit because we all know they could edit our inventory. They can see we have the triumphs so they are just choosing not to help.

1 ReplySame here, 16 of 17. Killed every boss again and the meatball at least 6 times nothing. Done the solo method, move motes to vault, etc. This is ridiculous.

This is happening to me too and it is beyond frustrating for such a long questline. I really hope Bungie is anywhere near prioritizing this. What a gigantic waste of our time.

Had the same issue, except I was already at 16/17. I had killed every boss at least twice, the meatball at like 5 or 6. I ended up following a tip I saw to put your motes in the vault and kill the meatball again. It worked for me so either I just got randomly lucky and it dropped the mote, or putting the motes you have in your vault may actually be the fix.

3 Repliesit dropped for me first time i fought him...i thought it was just another mini battle. doesnt help, im stuck on 14 with one missing from the cysts....done them multiple times and dont even know which one (5/6) is missing. on 18 ghosts for alone in the dark.

My motes have disappeared, they aren't showing in my inventory.. how can I check how many i have?

At this damn point just make the motes drop from any damn boss regardless if you already killed them or not…this is so frustrating!

Edited by Acts7: 6/17/2024 2:22:59 AMI had this issue, and decided to leave the meatball for a bit. Had an idea and it turns out I was right. During or right after doing the campaign I had done a boss in the Impasse, and I remembee not getting a mote of light. Went to kill him and got it. I would suggest checking that out. Edit: sorry was focused on the meatball part didnt see you had done all of them.

Did you kill all three light bearers? Each drop a mote.
