I’m not a top tier player - Dual Destiny
Just making this post for those, like me, that aren’t a top tier player.
I don’t do raids.
I can’t solo dungeons.
I can’t compete in GM nightfalls.
I don’t have min/max gear.
I mainly play seasonal content, strikes and some crucible to pass the time.
I fired up my mic tonight. Got onto LFG and made a newbie friendly post. Found a player.
We had both only watched guides on YouTube and jumped in. Failed the first run, breezed through the second run.
I’m not trying to disregard others who don’t want to participate in co-op voice chat, but this mission is actually pretty easy.
Once you have the mechanics down, you swiftly clear all the sections and have a lot of time at the end bosses. When finishing, I was actually surprised that it was done and I was able to get through.
For those who are not feeling confident jumping in. Watch guides and then create an LFG. Take your time, master each section and I bet you’ll also be very surprised how easy and forgiving the mission is.
I was worried about the timers, but you get a generous amount in each section. You can respawn as much as you want. There’s rally banners so ammo isn’t an issue. Just give it a go!

Communication isn't an indication of video game skill it's an indication of life skills and the player base is pretty diverse to assume everyone has life skills here.

1 ReplyI’ve been at this mission all day long with my girlfriend (who’s fairly new to destiny) and -blam!- is it unforgiving when you’re with a new player. Even with great communication this is one mission that’s definitely not meant for new/casual players.

Honestly, the only real thing that needs to be addressed is the playerbases overall attitude towards going in blind vs "Shut up and watch the guide, somebody already did this for us, -blam!- even wants to play anyway?" But, seriously, do you guys even _want to play this game or just want easy mode play by numbers for every new hard activity?

In all these replies to posts similar to this one, anyone can see it is the same people talking down on others on every single post, even streamers have jumped on this bandwagon. Sure, it's not too hard to find someone to run the activities within this game if we put in the effort. That's not the main problem here. What is the main problem is the actual fact that this is no different than what they did with LF, hiding important info like having to pay to skip the campaign and making it annoying so people would be pushed to pay for it. [b]That disgusting tactic is the problem with this developer with some of the content they designed in this game. Hiding info that they know will affect the player base in a bad way, and it's messed up because real Bungie, not this shell, they never stooped this low to sucker people into buying their product. They didn't need to because Halo sold itself because of the honest work put into it.[/b] No, this developer doesn't have to tell everyone everything that is going on, no developer has ever done that. But, to hide info more often than not to sell a product because of their wrongdoings is disgusting. Take how they deliberately make a good portion of the gear in this game ugly in hopes of pushing people to buy ornaments. Damn, I miss the real Bungie because this one really screwed up this game big time.

Dual mission is one of the easiest mission in the game, but way to bugged. And bungie don't wanna fix it.

1 ReplyI tried twice with almost 9 minutes to do the puzzle. How do I call out my symbols when they change every 2 seconds? This seems impossible to type out the location in one second and to shoot. What is the secret?

8 RepliesOn the whole the mission is easy enough but there are a few stumbling blocks. 21 symbols. Timers. The very last clocks. 21 symbols are a bit much to learn whilst being shot at but after a few runs you do pick up the bulk of them. This community HATES timers 😂 personally I’m not that bothered by them and once I found the 2 crystals that gave more time I had more than enough. The last clocks, these were probably the hardest part especially if you’re playing with someone who is not speaking their native language. A few seconds longer on each clock and I think this would be probably one of the best missions Destiny has had to date.

2 RepliesWise words, I'm glad you completed it, and as a lot of people have stated, it's not that difficult. So why on earth make it so that people cannot solo it? It makes absolutely no sense, only to say to solo players, "we make the game, we control how you play. as long as you pay for it".

So just from reading through the replies, how many of the upvotes you've gotten are from people who haven't read the post? Because I feel like a lot of these people only read the title, assumed you agreed with them, and then upvoted without reading.

1 ReplyI took a buddy through yesterday for his first attempt. He doesnt know the symbol names and usually struggles with heavy add clear situations. I told him that we dont need to rush the mission, just go at your pace, and its ok if we dont finish it the first attempt. After we finished the run, he said "thats it?" He was expecting it to be more difficult and longer. He is running prismatic hunter, and many of the areas of higher add clear, had no difficulty with and we breezed through. Tormentor section, he read his numbers out as a clock (instead of left to right), so once I realized that, I made a quick adjustment and followed what he was comfortable with to clear the section and we did it after only one mistake.
