I know.. You folks are probably heard this sad song before. But allow me to paint my own picture of the situation. I had planned to play the game all by myself today, kick back, relax, and enjoy the cinematics of the new campaign. And I did just that! It was an absolutely extraordinary DLC Bungie has given us. But since I had planned to play solo today, color me surprised when I found out about the multiplayer exotic quests in the solo focus destination. Now here I am sniffing through LFG hoping somebody is patient enough to help me out. Please do understand I don't have a problem with multiplayer quests at all! It just the choice to make these activities far from solo friendly was not expected at all! Especially considering the entire new destination is a solo area unless you invite somebody to your fire team. I mean, you'd think a lot of if not all the activities in a "solo focused destination" could be done solo, right? But no! Some of the most anticipated exotics this season can only be obtained via multiplayer? Surely you can understand why that's a little out of left field. Sadly tho, the damage may already be done at this point.. And knowing Bungie they're probably not going to do anything about this (hope I'm wrong). But in the future can we just have the option to do exotic quests by ourselves please? I hate asking somebody for help just so I can get one gun that I'm more or less just going to use by myself anyway. So here's my request Bungie: If you're going to keep these quests the way they are.. fine. but please do not release any more exotic quests like this unless it's tied to a raid or dungeon. If it's an exotic that's synergizes with multiple people like the Rat King, then it makes perfect sense why the quest would be multiplayer. Otherwise I just don't see a reason to have a multiplayer exotic quest other than to slow people down and go to LFG.
